    Update time!

Well things went a little crazy after UPS showed up with my kit...earlier in the day at work I made and mocked up the board that would hold my Management. I just used the meassurements from the V2 and 400c diagrams and layed everything out on the board. When I got home around 3:45pm I waited for UPS....
    and waited...
    and waited...
Finally at around 6pm they showed up and dropped my kit off.

I got the management all bolted up and wired then moved the set up into the car. The whole idea of this set up was to still ba able to use the OEM false floor. So I place everything in the area where the rear seats would go. I ran the 3 wires I needed to run (got to love V2 wiring ) and then fired up the system to make sure everything was work correctly. At this point I had thought I was going to stop for the day and do the rest after I got off working over time at work the next day. NOPE.

I jacked the front of the car up and just went for it.
I was watching the radar because they had said there was a high chance of storms later in the evening but with how fast the management went I figured I should just go for it. The front went on no problem at all. I just switch over my early modded strut mounts, put the struts and ran my lines and bam! I was done. Similar story in the rear.
I got done about 30 mins before the sky starting falling.

Today I am going to get the system itself running correctly, doing a cailbration so I can set my presets, as well as check the system for leaks. I must just driving it to work this morning I really happy with how they ride. super smooth and sit holds itself in the corners.
One to the pictures and more updates later.

Looks great. I actually really liked the flares on this, I think they worked so well with the rest of the cars trim and bumpers. Idk I normally dont like them but on the white they looked really good. Also im not to familiar with VW in general, are the panels removable and there is glass underneath? Or are they direct replacement for glass? Just wondering! Love this build!

I did not mind the flares but I just like the look of how simple the car looks with no flares. Plus with how I wanted to run my wheels and tires they would have to be trimmed so much and just stuck on with body tape which Im not really into.

I Panel are an OEM panel that replaces the window all together. these are just bonded in so they can still be removed if I ever want to put windows back in.

I went out on one of my breaks and got some more photos since it was light out. Subframe is so close. time for some trimming and notching.

So far I have really been enjoying it. love the freedom to take any road or highway again in the car. Drove on a highway I have avoid in the mk3 since I owned which make going south of the city a 20 minute drive instead of a hour drive. It been a long time but I believe they are the race ones.

After working some over time Saturday, I went to dinner with my dad then went and washed the car and stopped by lowes to pick up two 1/2" to 3/8" adaptor plugs to move my compressor lead and ptc to ther manifold on the lower part of the tank so the flase floor is not laying on them and putting preasure on them. So happy I can still run and use my Oem false floor and that everything is hidden. I want to at some point get a smaller battery and relocate it out of the spare tire well so I cans till have a spare.

We'll the pictures where fixed but I guess photobucket changed their minds. Made another Flickr account just for build pictures that way it does not take up space on my photography account I use to show clients work.

Yesterday I just washed and waxed the car and then polished up the lips since I have been lazy and have not polished them since sowo

I'm working on getting the mk3 to finally lay frame today. It's really close right now but it needs some work to get those last few mm's. I going to do tie-rod notches, control arm trimming and maybe remove the sway if it is really holding me up. Photos later after it is all done. How the car currently sits when at 0 psi.

Also found a photo from Sowo I thought I would share.

We'll see you guys later. I'm going to get pizza with the girlfriend and then cut my car up.
                  bye

Ok so got some work done on the car today.

As I stated above, Jess and I went and got some pizza for lunch before I headed up north to go to my friend Brandon's house. As we were eating my buddy Juan meet up with us since he was going to fallow me to Brandon's. We eat and then Juan and I stopped at a gas station. Helped a guy out who looked super confused about changing out his flat tire and then we hit the road to Brandon's.

                      We made it 15 mins...

                      Untitled

                      Untitled

Juan's EF threw a rod and it thought it would be rad to take out the block on it's way out. I felt super bad for him as he has really been trying to turn this car around and fix all the crap other people have done to it. I wanted with him for the tow truck to show up and then took him to his work to drop the car off. After the tow truck driver dropped off the EF and $120 later we were back on our way to Brandon's.

I got to Brandon's and got right to work. We made two notches for the tie rods, welded them all up. I then painted both wells with undercoating, something I have wanted to do for a long time since the white always looked dirty. I got the drivers side to lay frame. The pass side is close but something is still holding it up just a bit. I'll work on it another day.

Hopefully going home and rerouting that right side air line so it is similar to the other side and out of the way as long as the rain holds off.
