Decided to put together a list of "to-do's" to help keep myself on track. Between work & the holiday's i've been busy and haven't really made any progress on the car. It's had a dead inspection since November 30th and hasn't left the garage in weeks. Once the new year rolls around and things kinda get back to normal i'm hoping to dive in and knock some of these things out.

Winter Checklist

1. Mount new rear tires
2. Get car inspected
3. Adjust (flatten) side-splitters a bit more
4. Install R1 Concepts slotted rotors/pads
5. Install SRT-4 boost gauge
6. Install Needswings oil catch can
7. Paint valve covers/intake manifolds (VHT)
8. Fix headliner
9. Fix headlight bracket (JB-Weld)
10. Fix front splitter foam

Spring Checklist

1. Roll/mount new fenders
2. Respray (entire car or just fenders/front bumper - TBD)
3. Wiechers Sport front strut bar
4. Needswings exhaust manifolds
5. QTP low-profile electric cutouts

Summer Checklist

Interesting idea, but I actually strongly dislike the whole LED-strip thing that alot of manufactuers have incorporated into their headlights thanks to Audi. Looks a bit tacky IMO.

Sucks about the whole paint situation. It probably looks alot different in person but from the photos it looks pretty mint! Lookibg forward to seeing more progress.

Yeah it doesn't look too bad in pictures. Honestly speaking, even in person it's not that bad. But it's a far cry from what I wanted. Plenty of fisheyes throughout the entire car, a few streaks here and there and clearly my front bumper did not receive enough clearcoat because it's already covered in rock chips and it hasn't even been a year yet. I'm just so torn with what to do. I'm actively trying to save up for a down payment on a house so having to pay another several thousand dollars for a new paintjob (again) is such a bummer. A piece of me just wants to mount/paint my new fender and respray the bumper and settle for "good enough". But I feel that i'll regret that decision later down the road.

On a positive note, I received a sponsorship through a new wheel company so i'll be changing my wheels up in the next few weeks. They're a brand new company and I will have the first set of their wheels here in the US. Not going to give any details at the moment - I don't want to spoil the fun! I also finally got around to ordering the other stuff I needed to finish my intake manifolds & valve covers, so hopefully i'll make some real progress with this thing soon. I've only driven it once within the past 2 months or so and have all but abandoned it. Looking to get things back on track for 2016.

I've decided that i'm going to go ahead and bite the bullet and respray the entire car. I got a few opinions from some bodyshops and quotes on having just my front clip resprayed versus the entire car and honestly given the cost difference I might as well just go ahead and have the whole car redone.

Also got an update on my new wheels and it'll be another 5 weeks before I get them.

Ok, time for some updates. I decided that since I am having the car repainted again that I'd go ahead and change a things up on the exterior. I just placed an order yesterday for a new front lip and side splitters. I won't go into detail on them because I'd rather keep it a bit of a surprise. But it goes without saying that the aren't designed for my car, but I had a buddy whip up a render for me and they should look awesome. I'm still waiting on my new wheel company to get back with me on when their new shipment arrives. Being a brand spankin' new wheel company, they had to fulfill all of their vendor orders first and then would be fulfilling their individual orders. But they are giving me a partial sponsorship and I will have the first set of these wheels in the states so it's worth the wait. I also made my decision on my new painter/bodyshop. He's a guy that works at a reputable collision center by day and runs his own paint & fabrication shop by night. I've known him since '08 and everyone I know that has done business with him speaks very highly of his work. Even better is my detailer speaks extremely highly of his work and often uses his shop to detail some of his client's cars. My new painter is also great at fabrication so he said modifying the new lip and side splitters to fit my car should be cake. I registered my car for Panda Junction on May 1st so if all goes as planned I will be debuting the new look at that show.

Yeah I'm having it resprayed the same color. I like the color it is, just not happy with the existing paintjob. If anything I might have them enhance the metallic a tiny bit, but my painter is bringing a few samples by on Friday for me to take a look at.

Lol I don't know about that. I like the 326 Power wing but I think it would look a bit out of place on a Crossfire. Especially considering most of the stuff on my car has more of a Euro feel to it. Then again, the new aero I have coming isn't really that Euro....

I didnt think you would change it but was just curious. Still sucks you have to get it redone again, but the black just flows too well with the car. Someday I need to finally see it in person if I ever start actually going to shows again lol.

Yeah it stinks but I'm ready to get on with it. Some of the new exterior stuff I'm doing has to get painted anyways so it is what it is. As far as shows go this year, I'm probably just going to Panda Junction, Springfest and H20i. I'm considering Tuner Evo in Philly and possibly FCF - that is of course if my car is actually accepted, which is rather doubtful. A lot of these big shows nowadays are a popularity contest. I'm actually friends with a lot of the guys that run the events, but for whatever reason the guys @ Canibeat don't seem too fond of me despite me knowing most of them since like 2009.
