The Golden Coupe

Hi Guys!

So, a friend of mine bought this golden Mercedes 230CE as a parts car, and didn't have the chance to pick it up before moving so he said I could have it if I picked it up. So I did.
It need some work, but it runs good. No big plans except for the usual, low, wide and clean.
I appreciate comments, ideas and critique as this thread goes forward.

Hopefully there will be some interesting reading.



The wheels did not come with the car unfortunatly.

The carbon fibre is already gone, thinking of painting the "wood", but still haven't decided.

Gave the grille a little update yesterday, poslished up the chrome and painted the insert black. Made the grille look musch better, thik maybe I'll keep this instead of getting an avantgarde one.

Made some progress today aswell, mounted the grille back on the hood, and got the windshield wiper off the car for some refurbishing magic.

Wiper assembly and the airfilter "lid" got painted matte black, and got the bits mounted back this friday.



Got the interior trim out, going to paint these aswell since the "wood" look plastick has craks and a few holes in them. Need fixing.

Looks solid, why would someone use that as a parts car?
