Because the adjustable air links only went to a certain point I believe. The new air system lets me sit the car on the subframe.
Plus the air links trick the car into thinking its higher than what it is and its not compensating the damping to suit the real lows. The standard shock really don't have much lows in them for a comfy air ride like you can get normally.
Car looks fantastic and wheels right at home on there! I had a 4.2 V8 up until July this year. Had the car 18mths and was by far the most comfortable car Ive owned to date, just repairs started to get pricey! I went 9.5" all round and et30 with 255 tyres. Rears tucked "just"!
I'm guessing by going after market on the air suspension you have the dash warning lights on constantly??
Thanks for all the support guys! and Yeah I do have some codes I need to get cleared and deactivate the stock air suspension. Give me warnings that car is having to much change in the ride height Lol.
