  • DurtyTurdy e30 build

I bought this old e30 last year for a daily tell I got my bagged mk4 back running and I really started to like it, even though it started off as a really death machine!

This is the way I picked this machine up except with exhaust cut off at the headers so I had a shop put some exhaust in and a bozozoku tip just for fun

Of course right after I bought it the dreaded bitch tube bottom seal went out so I went though most of the engines taking care of the seals and the dreaded Idel hunt the motronic 1.0 has

Next a few weeks later the fuel pumps went out.. So I thought so I tore the whole dual pump system out and I hooked up a Tre-255 pump the walbro copy pump. This ultimately was not the problem, it was a saturdated wire under the seat that was corroded.. But now atleast I have enough fuel for a m50 swap later!

Next I decided to pick up some bumpers but how spendy e30 bumpers I went with the alternative of making my own.. I seen some people had made e36 plastic bumpers work so I picked up a set for $140, I already had the plastic welder from shaving my mk4 bumpers so I gave it a shot! decieded to cut out 1.25 out of the front of the bumper to get it to fit snug. Then all my lower for the car came that week also, I went with Summit Racing and got 600lb rear 5in springs and 450lb springs for the front and cut 2 inches out of my front struts and loaded some VW Corrado shocks in for now. The rears I used Camaro rear adjustable shocks for a 80s model I just had to drill the rubber bushing a little for the bottom shock connector. If you would like any info on the stuff I made for the purchase feel free to message me. Here is the outcome so far!

Of course that week that I lower it we get about 10 inches of snow in april..............

After this I really started liking the car and ended up having some Bride seats laying around so I decided to load them into the DurtyTurdy!

Im a bit of a cheap bastard and have access to machines so I machined out all my own brackets to fit both seats in the car ill have more pictures of those to come.Next I decided I really fell for this car so off course I had to get wheels, And being a fitment freak I wanted to sneak nasty offsets under the car for fun but keep the nappy look going a little So I ordered some 8 front and 10 rear Diamond Racing Wheels 0 front offset and 12 rear offset with 195 50s all around!

Plastic welder does come in handy when you want to try to see how eyelids look also lol and I got a royal grip wheel with a adapter on the way! There is much more to come for this car ill try to document the rear bumper with as many pictures as I can for the process!

Got my royal grip steering wheel in this weekend for fun and started to cut into fitting the e36 rear bumper on now!

This is the full bumper fitting on, started by seeing what I had to trim to fit and get the bumper to sit flush to the rear and meet with the curves decently!

Then from there I use just a average dremel tool to cut up the bumper for fitment

After a bit of cutting and shaving I got happy with the fitment to the rear

Now I just need to make the brackets to fasten the bumper to the car and shave 2 inches off the sides I chopped off to get the fitment on the side. It's coming together slowly it will take a bit of plastic welding to get the parts back together hopefully more updates this week and I also got a good roller shot from a buddy on the way to a car meet
