        • I made a careless oversight because I was tired last night. Now I have some serious issues that I need to sort out. as mush "fun" as I had this weekend, overall it was terrible and left me in fuckstoryville

I had taken the drivers front wheel off a couple times to address alignment and then an air leak. I must have forgotten to secure the air line the last time I put it all back together. Also, by this point it was 4am on day 3 of the install. I tested everything in the shop. It was all working great, so i took it for a test drive around the block. The air line rubbed against the tire, I lost pressure in that corner and went down. Because I was going about 15mph at the time and coming to a corner, it botched my fender up a little. Then because everything was soo low and there was no pressure, the bag was rubbing on the tire also and burned through. And to top it all off, there is a seam on the top of the inner fender that totally ruined my tire. Its now all the way down to the metal.

I had to walk back to the shop and grab my tools. Then take about the drivers side suspension and try to make a way for the car to drive higher so I can limp it back to the shop. by about 530am, I had it high enough where I could make the short drive "safely". Made it back, mother fucked the whole thing for a few, then I went to sleep for like an hour. Then i went to work, still wearing the same dirty ass work clothes I was yesterday and on pretty much no sleep.

All this happened because I was tired and trying to get it to a point where it could move under its own power. I like to think that if I wasnt so exhausted at that point, I would have caught that simple mistake that ended up totally fucking me over.

                • So you pretty much made your car into my car, busted fender and all. Copy cat

JK that sucks, but it's not that bad really. New strut, new tire, leave the fender for now and you're driving again.

Its not bad at all. but being laid up with out a car is frustrating. The only thing I need is a new sleeve and some new line. and also to not do the install at 4am lol. I still need to get the rear lower. I think the brackets need a little cutting get get me lower.

                    • damn man, bummer... they say sleep exhaustion is the same as being wasted? Haha you should of just had a few drinks during the install (same outcome but might have been much more fun) =)

Sorry to hear, but you'll be back up and running in no time! Give me a shout if I can help with anything?

Tell me something I don't know lol.

In my opinion, do what Mike said to do in the rear. My rear trailing arms have a half inch before the adjuster hits on the body nub, those brackets are going to be too tall no matter what.

                              • this is how it sits right now. The front was about a half inch lower when it collapsed. I had to manually raise everything up so it was drivable enough to make it back to my work. the rear is aired out, so I need to work on that too. but I wont be touching it probably until friday.
