So I bought some ssr...

They're in shipping right now. 14" 5.5j and 6j et23 and 13.

From what I understand they are welded together? I am hoping to split them down and widen to 8j all round or possibly 9j on the rear. Et0.

Anybody know about this?

Haha, good point. I have to finish my a-levels at the moment so until the end of this month. I have been " blessed" with having more money than time. Work will comence soon.

Went down to the breakers yard yesterday And was able to bag two car loads of parts.



I also finally bought suspension.



I got a great deal on an ABF mk3 so engine plans have changed again. Need to decide whether to run digifant injection or k-jet.

Ok, enough of parts collecting, start to build now.

I'm starting this weekend for sure. My grill came on today, probably going to sell it though.



First jobs (will be done over the next two weeks):

*pick up mk3.

*remove ABF block and loom from mk3.

*integrate ABF and 8v loom.

*prepare shell for paint:
-talk to paint guy. I have made a deal to swap the gold car for a full respray, I've got to see how much of the prep I have to do before I give the car to him.

-get welding + chassis notch done.

-remove 8v and prepare bay. Probably going to shave/smooth bay depending how much work the paint guy will do.

-pick paint.

-strip windows, rubbers, plastics etc.

Hopefully the car should be painted by mid July. I am going to be working on the engine and doing wheel stuff whilst it's painted so updates should be plentiful.

Small bit of progress. Only got 20-30 minutes on it before it got dark. Stripped the drivers door of rubbers etc and started to remove the front.
