That color on your new one it too good, even though the green was excellent as well.

Yep, that's me! Lupo was a nice car, rwd and double the power is much more fun though.

Steering wheel is one of my favourite things, had it on the aforementioned Lupo, happened to be a good size for the MX5 as well.

The bank balance is nearly recovered from having to buy the gold one, so this should start to progress properly soon.

I have one of these, a 2002 in black. Oddly, like you, I bought it after selling my Mk2 Seat Arosa S (0.9 litre ), which was my first car.

Fast forward a year, I still have it - and I love it to bits - but these as you probably know are rust buckets. It's great that you're using the money to improve yours visually and performance wise, but my advice to you is to have your chassis rails and sills assessed. These are both notorious risk points and will cost you the car in the long run. Get these sorted, undersealed and you'll have a keeper on your hands.

Money is being saved to sort the sills out. They've been patched before and are starting to rust again.
Annoyingly, the green one has had the sills properly replaced and are completely rust free.
Front chassis rails are solid though.
The plan is to completely replace the inner and outer sills. Do it once and do it properly.

Good stuff! Mine's on the way out, the sills are going and the floor pan's got a hole She won't survive another MOT. So slightly back to the weirdness, but you didn't happen to be on Digimods or later known as Virtuamods? If so would this be correct?:

Vermilion - Digimods - Seat Arosa (first car) - Mk2 MX5 (second car)
Deadmetal - Digimods - VW Lupo (first car) - Mk2 MX5 (second car)

Fancy making a hat trick? Where are you based?

                          Couple of things happened recently.
Got a cold side intake made up. DIY it cost me about £80, half of what most induction kits cost and they still have the filter on top of the exhaust.
Also got rear camber arms, so no more 3 degrees of rear camber and the wheels are now much nearer the arch.
I plan on tiding the bay up a bit, cleaning, painting and sorting some of the wiring out.
