Yeah, hatches are the ish. Only issue is they all come with a y7 so you get the sick 90 degree throttle body that is literally Honda's biggest plunder since the hybrid.

Small update: I did something I shouldn't have with AutoZone exhaust piping. Oil pan has left Cali, and it's on its way to my house. Car should be back scraping by Monday. Wishful thinking, but we'll see where it takes me.

Good progress on the hatch, man. I've got a friend of mine who is in high school working on his EG8 while trying to balance school and work. Keep up the hard work! Looking forward to progress and that skid plate [I need one for my Integra]
    Thanks man, I appreciate it.

You Integra guys have it easy! Our y7 cats are tucked up directly behind the AC components, and they tuck the down pipe BESIDE the oil pan, so it's literally sitting there begging to be hammered.

In other news: I've got my exhaust all pulled down, and my shift linkage dropped, so I'm in the clear for my short shifter install, just had to get some bolts (#@$$@#@$@$@ rusty bolts underneath east coast cars, almost every bolt associated to the shift linkage rounded clean off.)

HORRIBLE quality picture as I was cleaning up tonight, just enough to keep morale up. Oil pan should be here by the end of the week.

Yeah, I wasn't getting another Civic after the first one unless it was a hatch. Love these things most days.

Plans for it as of right now (none of which are set in stone) are..

    - Replace both front fenders with fresh red junkyard fenders, and roll them CORRECTLY.
    - Hunt around for two red doors, no rush, but my massive door dents suck.
    - Plasti-dip the inners of my XXR's black, polish the lips until they're mirrors.
    - Build a skid plate for the new oil pan when it arrives.
    - Buy two XXR 501 15x8's 15 offset, then get some 15mm spacers, so the car will be running 15x7 6 offset in the front, 15x8 0 offset in the rear staggered.
    - Potentially all clear head lights to eliminate the amber strips.

    Any suggestions are welcome!

Ahh okay, I was going to say lol...

That would be a ton of work and money. Might as well just buy a rwd car with the work and shit that needs to be done to do a rwd swap

By the time I noticed it was compromised, I had already dented it in two areas quite badly. My logic was, I was going to run it, and see how long it could last. Afterwards, I was going to evaluate it, see where the damage ended up being, decipher why it was damaged there (what road obstacles etc.) then build a conforming skid plate that would be as effective as it could be.

And yeah, no RWD swap unless someone wants to push me around on a jack, bahahah.
