So basically being a 2002 owner, i look around for e21 parts from time to time. I happen to see a 320i for sale locally, well that's what was advertised anyway. 124k original miles
It's sitting at a local shop where the girl parked it to try and sell.I guess the car was passed down to her from her step dad who passed on "RIP", she told me cant drive manual cars and has no interest in the car. All I said was "that's good for me"
Well when I go to see the car, Its been sitting outside so its a bit dirty and rough around the edges, but as soon i peak in the interior I start to see the sport steering wheel and recaros and get a bit excited, because well, i start to think 2002 parts ..yes... and In my head again, i start to think is this a freaking 320is?
Well im not an e21 guy, but i was very excited to see one still intact and not raped by a 2002 guy. It needs brakes and a new windshield, and other exterior things, but for what it was i had to buy it especially at the price she accepted....
My first thoughts were to part it out for the 2002 guys, ill make the most money this way, but i have to keep this car whole..... i have to get it back on the road and looking like she should look and save her.
here they put it on the lift to check out underneath for rot.... looked solid
they even towed it for me...and here she rests for now
recaros have a tiny rip, and the driver middle piece needs to be re attached somehow, but other than that they were really clean!
missing front bumper, but i guess ill be looking for a euro bumper
more pics to come after a few good washes and full tune up and fluid changes.
