Made the breifest of starts on the cage fitting today

But i've had a bit of trouble with the profiling of the feet, i had to alter it myself

Top section of the door bar needs shortening for some reason, it doesn't sit in line as you can see

My welding can't be that bad,i've had word today that the weld test i sent in has passed the strength test

It pained me to cut holes in my new floor to let the cage through

Had to do that to weld the top of the screen section
But now its sat back in on its feet and all 6 feet are fully welded


Theres still one or two bars to weld in yet

And some extra fancy bits

Today only having an hour or so spare, i decided to remove the O/S door skin.
And even though they are only 3 years old the rust that had made a return was amazing


It'll have to go to be shot blasted now then i can see what comes back

Got the door back today and holy sh it i didn't think it would be this bad

There's always more rust than you think, it's the trouble with old Escorts haha. It's coming along so well, love seeing the progress. Hoping to have mine done ready for Spring/Summer, it has similar rust..
