    I replaced this crap:

    And changed the spark plugs:

There are more pictures and background info on the site.

I had no problem putting bus lengths on an E39 M5 today. The car is a beast.

I scored a used BMS dual cone intake kit for $25! Very awesome noises.

Read my blog post about it here: www.My1Series.com

Also, I had a friend come over and put the GoPro on for a few pulls. Sorry about the wind noise!

      [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfyHNqrw_8Q[/ame]

First two pulls are 2nd gear. Third pull is 1st thru 4th gear. I let off shortly after passing the car on the left.

This car has been in need of a good detail and I finally got around to doing it. First I washed it, then went over the whole car with a claybar. I was surprised at the amount of crap the claybar took off. To see a list of products and the process I used, check out the post on my website.

I took a picture before I started the cut/polish/wax process. Once I was finished, I took another picture to show the results. Keep in mind, the “before” picture is when the car was already washed and clean. The imperfections you see are all swirls or scratches, not dirt.

This is an animated GIF, it will switch between images.

In the two photos, you can see a lot of things in my garage reflecting off the paint. The two lines near the middle of the photos are power cords, not scratches. The lighter reflections above those are the power boxes on the light stands. All other bright imperfections are either lights on the ceiling, lights on the stands, or bright objects laying on the ground or on top of shelves. Obviously you can see the reflections of the yellow and red light stands themselves.

This was my first time doing any sort of paint-correction and I am very happy with the results. I briefly researched what products were best and read good things about the Meguiar’s line up and the Harbor Freight foam pads. Said and done, the whole process took about 10 hours. I even wetsanded a spot on the rear bumper to get rid of some weird hazing. I finished up by using trim restorer on the plastic grilles/diffuser, and tire shine on the tires. Well worth it to me.

I was able to remove about 95% of the imperfections from the paint with this process. The 5% of imperfections that remain are very hard to see unless you’re inspecting the car under harsh lighting. It just goes to show how awesome the car looks and feels now. Also, the photos capture the metallic flake. It is easy to see in person but hard to notice in photos. Black Sapphire Metallic > Jet Black!

god dammit man. After seeing one of these slammed on stock wheels and spacers I felt like it'd be the perfect daily but didn't want to risk getting one non CPO.. but alas there's not much to a warranty when you plan on modding a car inside and out right? ugh I still kinda want one.

They look so good lowered on spaced out style 264's.

It is a great car. I have not had a single issue with it so far... only thing that it needed was a new turn signal socket. It has seen 7k miles in 5 months with heavy abuse. It holds up great and absolutely rips with the mods. As my only car, it has never let me down. I knew I'd be modding it so I didn't need a warranty when buying.

hmmmm you tempt me. you tempt me. as far as coilovers go, can you advise on how low the car can really go? I've heard the front can go low very easily, but the rear struggles (like alot of cars lol)

I already influenced a kid on a different forum to buy one. He posted up a few weeks later.

I'm no expert on slamming these. I don't think the car really has a problem going low, you just need to get the right coils. The offsets for this car are a little different, so wheels are usually more of an issue to fit.

^^This is true. If you get the right set of coils, you can basically lay the skirts on the ground if you wanted. The people that say it doesn't go low in the rears usually buy ST coils or KW coils from what I've seen. The offsets are pretty high for these cars, like suspenceful said, limiting your wheel selection. But if you look hard enough and measure correctly it won't be too difficult.

Suspenceful, the car is coming along great man, keep it up! I've been watching your build on here and 1addicts.

so what coils do you recommend
I'm tempted to get one because I like simplicity. and I would be very content with slammed, spaced/stretched 264's, and then focus all of my money on go-fast bits lol.

If I could do it again I'd go with Broadway Statics. Just contact them and tell them what you want and they'll build you a set, built using Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers
