Been on here a little while now and have only really posted my cars in the Aussie sections and the occasional photo in the appreciation section too.....figured I'd start a couple of threads just for them.
I've got 3 current rides. A Mazda 808 wagon with a rotary conversion which has been with me for just over 6 years and is an ongoing project, the Mazda 1200 wagon I've had for 5 years and the E24 just over 12 months. I'll start a separate thread for the Mazda's so this one isn't too clogged up!
The E24 is fairly basic, coilovers and wheels, not much else yet....just a clean original car and something comfy to cruise in when I don't feel like driving something noisy or low and slow. I'll be doing some interior and engine bay tidying up along with a few little body mods this year, but nothing major. These are somewhat of a rarity here and still command decent $$$$'s for a nice one, so I don't want to do too much to it, just keep it simple and build up new wheels for it every 6-12 months.
I bought it in November 2012 off the 2nd owner with a folder full of receipts and had it trucked to my place from interstate. I was originally looking for an E36 M3 as I've wanted one since they came out in 1994, but with only 15-20 for sale at any one time in the whole country , the pickings were slim, and after 12 months looking I gave up as I was wanting a particular colour, interior and lowish klms. I stuck most of the money into my mortgage and decided to look for my next favourite BMW, an E24, and I found this. Alpine white, 1986 635CSi with brown buffalo interior. I chucked in some BC's as soon as they were released and built up some RS in 17x9 and 17x10.5 with gold centres and this is how it was until a few weeks ago.
Stock as a rock....

On the BC's, but not wound down too far yet....

....and on the 17in RS. I know it's not super low, but the driveways and roads here suck! I searched for 6 months to find a house with a good garage and a nice flat driveway, but I ended up settling on a good garage and an average driveway, so this is it....I might try a little lower on the next wheels, but we'll see.

I like a bit of meat in my tyres, and I think this style of fit suits a bigger car like this.

Next wheels, which I finished building late last year and will be on in a couple of weeks(delayed due to moving house)....Alpine white 17in AC Schnitzer type 1's with gold bolts in the same 9 and 10.5 widths but with an extra 1/2in dish front and rear!

And then these will be next....I'll start on them as soon as the ACS are on. Not sure which way I'll go with finishes, so I'm open to some ideas. I'm thinking either silver as they are, or the usual polished face or maybe have them machined. And that's my shitty old garage....not the new decent one I mentioned....I'm so glad to be out of that unit!!!

And lastly, why not throw in one of my recently finished wheel room/man cave/den's new wheel stand!
There's a mix of wheels for the BMW and my 2 Mazda's(plus 1 set for the daily), but it's missing my 14in Starsharks, Equip 01 13in pair, Techno Racing 13in pair and 13in MK2's. Along with garage and driveway requirements when looking for a new house, there had to be a room that I could do this to as I've been waiting to get all my wheels on a stand for a few years now.
