Just a little update on a few finishing touches. Now that the summer is in full swing the wheels have been refurbed and built up ready to go on.
They were sand blasted and coated with anti corrosion primer and then paint primer and then lastly Gloss carbon black. The barrels were powder coated silver. The Dishes are Radinox ones which are not aluminum, but a super strength stainless steel I believe. You won't believe the abuse these dishes can take.
Can't wait to get them on. Big thanks to Dips at CustomCars for helping me out with all the work.
ACS Type II Split Rims - (Rears 10.75j et 45, Front 9.25J et 38)
A little update, a delayed xmas present from Santa came through today:
Geoff Steel Racing CSL style Plenium Intake.
First impressions are it looks very cool. The finish is a bit rough in places but then they are making the product for function rather than asthetics. Overall it looks very cool. Looking forward to getting it on at some point although its going to be tucked away for a while as next on the mod list is the wheels.
Thanks for looking.
slight scratch in the housing when i unwrapped it but nothing too major.
I think the silver around the rear splitter will tie in better once the ACS rims are on as they will have silver dish's and then also the silver struts on the front splitter too so I may leave it as it is for now and see. If it still don't look right when the rims are on I will think about a change.
ACS rear exhaust spiltter is staying though. I quite like it.
Thanks for looking
The splitter itself isn't bad but I think the finish looks out of place with all the other dark trim and things going on with the car. Maybe have someone photoshop it in a few different finishes for ideas. I think it would looks good in a satin metallic black or dark dark grey myself.
