Im still not sure how far i want to delve into the motor of the car.
Im debating on sending the heads to DeltaCam for a cam regrind, buying a highflow car or a test pipe, and tuning the car for everything, but we'll see..

Don't mean to quote you on something from so far back, but fuck it.

Phase II sohc heads, stock intake manifold with a boosted ej20 block and a stock wrx turbocharger. Then you just do a street tune with an apexi afc or something of the sort while maintaining your stock ecu. Cheap power and it isn't all that involved. All you have to know what to do is change the head gaskets.

all good info but i enjoy N/A and will eventually be camming and setting up standalone/ITBS/high compression. . probably next winter

Totally understandable mane. How will you achieve high compression? Will you use phase 1 or 2 ej22 heads on your ej251 block, or do a high compression piston/rod combo?

iirc the phase 2 ej251 heads are the best flowing na ej head, but you can't shave the heads for the high compression goodness
