Yeah, it sucks quite a bit.. The wheels that i'm looking for are a set of Gotti's
Found a set that i like (3-piece, 16 inch, 5x130 bolt pattern) but the owner is a little way to enthusiastic with the price he ask.
It's a dope set, but it needs to get polished again, new paint, new bolts and some damage repair..
Basically a fresh new build up, so i hope to get to an agreement with him over a normal price.

The bug is from 1971 Not to old for a bug haha. I can't wait to get my parts and see the result.
Mounting the dropped extensions a couple of weeks back gave me a rough idea, but even then it could get lower with airride in the rear

It took a good 2 months but finally the airride parts came in! What do you do with new stuff? Yes, mount it!
Very happy with the build quality of the parts! Feels very solid and high quality.

Spend a good 2 evenings in the garage and very happy with the result. When the car is all aired up the ground clearance is more than enough to take most of the speed bumps. The battle with those things is as good as past time With no pressure in the bags the bug lays frame. So, lower than this i won't get it..

Only things i need to do is fine-tune the suspension (stiffer/softer) and the blow-off speed of the rear-end. It drops a little bit quick, so i have to set the regulator a little bit more closed. Second thing is think of where i putt the gauge and switches. Currently its mounted in the glove box, but i prefer to the ability to read the pressure when i drive..

Will post some better pictures as soon as possible

          Dank je stefan

It's been a while since the last update. Last couple of weeks i've been busy with a lot of small things.
Did a lot of work on the electics which where a real mess.. Also got rid of the five gauges to fit the airride management in my dash.
Besides that i had a photoshoot with a local guys here. Results turned out great
and visited a couple of shows like VW-Fanatics here in the Netherlands.

And a picture of the rack:

Next up are a couple of other small things. After that i will begin with a hardline set-up i think!
But first, MIVW on the 3th of august!

Just wondering, what air shock setup is that?

Very keen to go air in my Type 3.

Yes, rear shocks are real quality. Way more solid than those monroes..
The shocks are build by a company called Volksprojects.
Google them, they ship worldwide as far as i know.

Basicly, lts a normal 4,5 inch airbag with soms aditions.
A normal static shock is built on it with 2 adapter plates as far as i saw.
Even adjustable in stiffnes! 25 clicks

Lot of big updates are about to happen. Waiting on a lots of parts to arrive! Cant wait!
Bought a 1600 DP engine, getting ready for a paint job, hardlines, short shifter, and so on!
Want to take it a step higher for next season, looking for a more unique and own style for 2015.

Quality picture of the current fitment/stance:

                      What do you guys think!?

looks sick! like it a lot! Are you still running torsion bars in the back? I would be nervous about supporting the whole weight of the car on the stock shock mounts, Seems like it would break fairly easily under pressure. Especially if you're fighting torsion bars! but you really got this thing laying out.

So whats the deal with the cops taking the papers and stuff? Never knew there was a minimum height or something?
And when its on bags, do they still make such a big deal about it?
Great looking car btw, I love that stance is becoming more common in our little country
