Last month i was randomly browsing nationwide craigslist (Adhuntr) and i came across my next car. i instantly sold my mazdaspeed 6, got a personal loan, and flew out 1k miles to Houston to pick up my rebuilt 2007 STI with only 23k miles on it! Damage was cosmetic and in the front left, driving it back to Chicago, there were absolutely no flaws with the car! drives straight with no rattles , i would've never guessed that it was in any kind of wreck! I got multiple certified mechanics to look over the suspension and the car overall, and its near perfect. I got H&R Sport springs coming in soon, so ill keep this thread updated! next step is either new rims or spacers!

Let me know what you guys think about what i picked up for $17k!

Not bad. I've got an 04 and I enjoy it. I'm hoping to get the 07 tail lights soon. Let me know if you end up buying coil overs for it. I'd buy your stock struts for mine.

Maybe it is just me or the picture, but those springs look tiny. Like they are wound out of coat hanger. Nice car.

Here she is after the H&R springs! Not really satisfied with how high the front is sitting but let's just wait and see if it settles a little more!

Now I'm having trouble deciding what my next step will be.. I'm thinking getting mudflaps and a lip, or just saving up for spacers.. Idk how the car will look like with a lip if the front is so high
