While the car sat for the winter I wanted to start on changing the boring and stock the interior. I ordered some parts, cut and spliced wires, painted some parts, and wrapped some stuff in vinyl. Its taken me over six months to finish all of it (mostly due to laziness) but im pretty pleased with the interior for now. lets start with some parts pics.......
Starting off with a Nardi wood grain deep corn steering wheel. This is one of my favorite mods so far!!!! I love how it feels to drive with it
To keep the wheel from sticking out to far since its a deep corn I bought the NRG slim adapter and Nardi adapter spacer. The company I ordered the adapters from sent the wrong color spacer so they gave me an option to return it or keep it for a refunded discount. My plan was to paint them both anyway since I didnt like the NRG logo so I kept it and took the refund
Here they are all painted prettyI painted them in a wrinkle black and I love the way they turned out!!!

I saw a write up on revlimiter.net on how to wire up an S2000 starter button and realized I couldn't live life any longer without one!!!Yes its fully functional!!!
Heres a link if anyone is interested...
I also wrapped my center dash, ashtray and vents in 3M brushed stainless vinyl to break up all the blackness of the dash. I didnt take any during photos but I wound up trimming the hole where the cigarette lighter was to fit the start button. It looks like factory to me which makes me
I Installed a shift knob extension around the same time. I sprayed a washer wrinkle black to finish off the top of the shift boot. Definitely makes shifting feel alot better.

After that my GF's father decided to give the front end a makeover with his rear bumperand it looked like this....
Its hard to see but the hood took most of it. Thankfully the eyelid tape came unstuck instead of breaking which was nice but the bumper was scratched, the tip of the fender was bent and chipped and the headlight tabs were snapped. My body shop guy said the price to fix hood was gonna be about the same as a carbon hood so i figured what the hell.....
A new headlight was bought and the rest of the front end was sent for paint....

I should have gotten fixed buckets though instead of recliners because these things were a bitch to squeeze into a tiny miata. It took me forever to mount them too because I wanted them as low as possible which meant buying and cutting up brand new brackets to fit them without sliders....These were dedicated video game chairs in my house for over 6 months until I stopped being lazy and put them in

Great progress. This car is getting better by every post.
Well done sir.
Hopefull at some point those eyelids are gonna go home, because in the end, they dont fit in such a well-built car to be honest. I think they are gonna leave yourcar themselves at some point, LoL
Cheers

MikeThe eyelids argument again!?!?
Im still 50/50 on them. Problem is I need new headlight seals to remove them which no one sells separate from the whole headlight assembly.
