So many beautiful projects on here. Such craftsmanship, I hesitate to start a build thread, but here goes.

My 2nd wagon, first one was too rusty, drove it for two years though. Loved it. Also have a coupe, will start a thread for that at some point... and so many other projects.

    Done so far:

    Bought it.

Cut the springs and dropped it.

Took all the white and rattled it cheapo matt black.

Need to do as I'm using it as a daily as of last week:

    Bit of welding on rockers.
Front suspension rebuild with polly bushes and tie rods
Bring it back up a bit ( )
Find some 17's to fill up the wheel arches
Put my PV544 steering wheel on
    Fender mounted mirrors
    Roofrack

    Plans:

Place 96 T5 chipped motor with M90 5spd gearbox (have both)
    Custom tunnel to fit M90
    Custom driveshaft
    Adjustable panhard bar
Big radiator from a diesel donor
Better brake booster of a 960 donor car I have
Not sure on the rear axle yet, my feeling is these are tough, but 280hp, and 350+ Nm of turque it won't hold. Probably a 240 or 940 axle with discs
    Black interior
    Custom mid console
    Shorter shifter off the M90
17' Wheels and very slight tubbing in the rear
Replace chrome trim along the sides

The front, where I wanted it, but allas, Dutch city streets just won't let me. I beached it a few times!

As she sat today after pulling the rear up 4cm by using Volvo 850 rear springs cut, and the front 2cm by putting the lower balljoint back in it's regular mounting position, had too, kept bottoming out :

    How I bought it:

I'm not sure on the hubcaps, I'd rather have some good 17's and hope they fill up the rear wheel wells as it's just too d*mn high now!

So, I got my hands on some wheels that I think are rad for this ride in particular. Here's a quick look at a rough idea. They come off a Mustang. They are made by AFS. They are 9" fronts, with 10.5" rear. The will fit with some trimming of the inner fender lip up front. They will only fit in the rear by altering rear suspension mounts or with half inch spacers, however, once the stock rear kicks the bucket after the T5 swap, I'll get on a Jag IRS conversion. Then with a slight tubbing of the rear arches these 10.5" rear will be my icing on the cake so I can run the 275/45/17's in back. That will kick ass.

I got these practically free, because only three are good. If ANYONE comes across a single or set of 2 AFS Bullit 17" 8 or 9" wheels please let me know, wherever you are in the world! Cheers

Here's a 'mock up' pic (otherwise known as wheels in front of car haha) You can't tell in this pic but they are staggered, nice and deep dish in the back. Can't wait to get these under the car! Refit all the chrome trim along the side, chrome bumpers I've collected and chrome grille...

These are so good! It makes me miss my 75 245 rustbucket. I like where this is going, and good luck finding nice 17" 5x108 wheels, I had a terrible time.
                  My car is stupid

I'm going with a Jag IRS eventually...
