  • 1970's Mercedes Benz w115

    Hey all,
My name is Zak, I have been lurkin' the forum since 2010... I joined the forum when I was building my Volvo 240 wagon... still rocking today but nothing like it was when I joined up!

I have built a few cars as daily drivers (one even gracing the StanceWorks blog) while the wagon was always under going more changers! The last car that I did was my e38, I loved it to bits but I lost my license and really needed to get the wagon finished! So it was sold last year some time and nearly all the money went towards finishing the wagon.

I got to do a few burnouts in my wagon and then broke a heap of things!

but I really missed having a cruiser/weekend car so bad, I got on the hunt for a older merc... posted around that I was looking for one and I got a msg for a friend saying his father in-law has a w115 that he needs to sell... I jumped at the chance to go check it out!

I wanted it bad, couple of weeks sorted out the money for it and I got it!

(I lost my phone sorry have to use my instagram pictures)

The car was super clean, next to no rust and it had been sitting for a while and started up first go! It really needs brakes done and also the tailshaft uni is flogged out so will need to replace them. Paint work was still great for its age but had started to get crows feet on the fenders.

Was sitting in my carpark for a couple of weeks, and some f**king skum bucket keyed the car and then smashed the passenger side headlight and taillight... don't have any photos of it but will get some over the weekend. So yeah was super pissed about that... its inside now!
If anybody has left side headlight glass and taillight please PM me.

But this means paint work is a MUST.... so my plan is to get it painted Mercedes benz silver and leave the white roof.

Overall plans are to get it mechanicaly A1, overhaul most things to get it super reliable, paint the car, full air set up (My goal is to get it as low as bobbyjones w114... I fucking love that car) and I want to be able to run 2 sets of wheels.... a set of 18" wires for daily driving and weekend cruising and then a set of 15"x9" and 15x10" for shows/meets (unsure of what type yet) I did have a set of hoshino G5 5holes that I was going to use for it but decided to build them for the wagon...........

anyway sorry for so many words, its 2am and I was bored! hahaha

Thanks for reading and will keep this up to date as much as I can!
