Hey everyone, been scratching around on here for a while now and decided that it was time to start a build thread or a build it back up thread rather.
Picked up a 1981 mk1 jetta on sunday that had been stripped down for restoration but the owner had fallen very ill so he only got as far as a respray and everything is in boxes, luckily however, it is still stripped as i **** the colour and intend on changing it asap.
Paid next to nothing for it, only issues are:
Needs new paint
Interior needs redoing
It has an immobilizer that i need to get rid of
Timing is out
Good things are:
No rust
Solid motor with low mileage
Good OEM wheels
Look forward to getting stuck into this little project and im so keen to learn as ive never done anything lie this before.
