With in weeks of getting my license, I picked up a 1992 Honda Civic Dx Hatchback. It was everything a sixteen year old would want, maxed out coil overs and a muffler large enough to hide a melon in and of course the "racing steering wheel"

It was in pretty rough shape, but I didn't care it was my own car! Shortly thereafter I took the car to a local mechanic to see what the awful rattle was. To my luck, all the wheel bearings were shot and the exhaust was riddled with holes, an awful oil leak and the clutch was gone, basically a ticking time bomb. Relatively afraid to drive it home, the mechanic and I tried to start it, the battery was completely dead. Due to the slipping clutch and my poor abilities to drive stick, it took about six tries to get it out of the lot. I made it about two miles before it died, oil all over the road. Got it towed home and there it stayed.

The cost to fix the car was almost twice as much I paid for it, so I did the only reasonable thing and started to part it out and sell all the parts I collected for it.

When I started to pull it apart, I found some quality parts, the previous owner said it was riding on Skunk2 coilovers, but in actuality they were Function and Form Type 2's. Those sold quick, and just as quickly put into my new car savings box. I sold a few interior parts but, the Honda game is pretty difficult to sell in. So it currently sitting on jack stands, just taking up space.

My good friend came over and took some pictures after about a month of bugging him. Anyways over the holidays, I found a great deal on a Nardi 360mm wood grain wheel. We mocked it up on the Civic, just for laughs.

He always manages to get my best side. About a month pasted and I found a pretty decent deal on some some legit wheels. This time round I wanted real stuff, the reasoning behind buying the Nardi. My friend and I ventured into the ghettos of Philadelphia in his worked bugeye WRX, to pick some SSR Type X's, after about thirty nerve wrecking minutes sitting in a Pep Boy's parking lot, we got them. Here's a couple pictures he snapped after we got back to safety.

The wheels were pretty rough, so I am planning on getting them refinished and powder coated, currently I am trying to find the best place.
