  • Jeffaz's rebirth of a past love

so some people may remember my 180sx (probably not though lol)

and that since had a bit of an accident when a learner driver pulled out 5m in front of me. i couldnt be bothered to pay for repairs and insurance decided to write off the car :'(

but anyway. i bought the wreck back and now ive picked up a new base to reshell the car into!

my new s13 that i picked up for 900 bucks. full interior and running and registered!
yes she's a pig.... but shes straight as an arrow and will be resprayed soon as she is running and tuned.

ive had it less than a day and ive already stripped the interior. its going to be an awesome reshell. the 180 shall live again!

immediate plans are to rip the crappy non turbo sr out of the silvia, chuck my old 180 engine and gb in with the turbo setup and skid hard into the sunset.

    so big day today

got the engine loom out of the sil

    looking bare

    started with this this morning:
    sil

180 (didnt actually have a photo, but its essentially exactly the same)

    and ended up with this
    sil

    180

biggest phuck around in the world was getting the radiator out of the 180 because of the frontender

    lol.

also ripped all the cooler piping off the det and ripped out the ac gear and will start on the engine loom tomorrow. engine should be going in next weekend.

the det is almost ready to rip out. got a few more things to disconnect then she's coming out friday

started on the rear subframe swap into te silvia

so many spiders under the silvia

and finally she's down and on decent wheels! bye bye space saver, flat wheel, and sagging chitty suspension.

the rear end and interior are now all done. all thats left is engine and front suspension then respray then tune and we done!

oh my lord, the level of scrutiny they do on your cars is just outrageous they should turn to real problems and come up with real solutions not just taking mods and making them illegal. rectify noise through air intake? come on... on another, happier note the car looks awesome!
