Icelandic E39 with an attitude.

Hi there, I've been lurking here on the SW forum for a while and thought I would finally put my current 4wheeled vehicle out here.

I had a GC8 Impreza "WRX" that got every cent I had thrown into it when after 4 years of turbo spooling I decided I needed a car more suiting me because I'm a big guy (6 foot 6 and 232lbs).

So I got me a BMW 520i with basicly no extras (no leather, casette player and so on) so I could build my own car.

The day I got her.


The next day I really needed some replacement wheels until I could find some keepers.


Got this bumper with the ALPINA front lip..


So because it's basicly useless to find spare parts for cars here in Iceland I had to find something to do so I cleaned her good.




Finally got my OEM facelift taillights!




Then after a long wait I finally got my coilovers and facelift headlights!








Then some lovely gentleman decided to hammer his foot down on the brake in front of me and this happened..


Thought about breaking it or selling it for scraps but decided this car was to good to just let go, so I gathered the needed parts and am finishing up the bodywork. But now I want your honest opinion..

I'm changing the color of the car this winter and I need some ideas for it!

The color I'm thinking about is this..


Laguna Seca blue! But if you have any ideas for some crazy cool colors, please post 'em here!


Also, this is going under the car to begin with..

half way through ripping apart the front end, we finally got some good weather so I decided to test fit the wheels under the car.

F2, if you give me your dog you can have her, maybe throw in a Porsche or two then we're definatly good.

But I though abut the M-Tech look but I think there are waaay to many E39's rocking these kits so I decided on trying the Alpina look before changing to the M

Also haven't seen a slammed E39 rocking the Alpina look and also not with the LSB color. In my opinion the LSB + chrome wheels could work together nicely! But we'll have to see.

So the front end is almost repaired due to my dad being bored! Man almost finished the car for me without asking me if I needed help

I'll post some pics up today or the next and then it should soon roll to the bodyshop!

The body damages are fully repaired and is currently waiting for the bodyshop to take him in for some fresh paint! I'll throw up some new pics this week
