  • Audi A4 B7 1.8T Build

    Hi Guys, I'm completely new here - I've browsed these forums frequently over the past few months and have been abit intimidated by the talent to be honest but I've decided to present myself now because I'm not far away from starting an accuair project and I want my own stanceworks build thread to be a witness to it as it happens!

    I'm from Northern Ireland (UK) So I hope to bring a strong cultural contrast to whats already on here...go easy on me! The car scene here is very...Polluted.

    As an attempt to seek approval...here were my first 2 cars, A Vauxhall Astra and a Volkswagen Bora - Put my heart and soul into both of them.

    The Astra...

    My Bora

    I'm now 20 and got myself a decent car in September to start fresh and more properly - A 2007 Audi A4 Avant 1.8T

    So the initial 'Its too good to modify stage' wore off after about 2 months;

    LED Sidlights

    LED Number plate lights - This took AGES. Tryed different resistors and LEDs before I got this right because they were flickering and bringing up errors, but finally managed to get something permanent sorted

    A really good clean out

    Then bought these on a whir;

    Gunmetal Grey 18" RS4 reps, fitted them and was disapointed with how the colour looked and my attrocious arch gap;

    Friggin Petrol engines! I decided to take it open myself to respray them. I'm not in any way a profesional resprayer but I have a decent amount of experience behind me so I took my time and did them as best I could.

    While I was doing that I took to my arch gap, and ordered a set of Sline Shocks and springs, expecting a decent drop. Being obsessed with lows though, again I was disapointed.

    So I got a hold of 40mm Apex lowering springs...actaully they were 40mm rear and 55mm front.

    The results

    And after 3 weeks, the wheels were ready...it all came together within a few days!

    As you can see I had pretty bad reverse rake, so I did the B5 cup mod and now she sits perfectly level on all corners.

    Brake Calipers recently done yellow;

    Blue Fog light tint;

    This is how she sits as of now;

    (Still one rear caliper left to do!)

    So thats basically it up till now. HOPEFULLY, all being well I will be collecting an accuair Switchspeed air management kit with 5 gallon air tank and 480cc Compressor this week and starting to build my boot! Words can't describe my excitement. I'll keep this build updated guys thanks for looking!
