Thanks. I haven't even really looked into what I need to do to make them work. I'll figure it out when I get there, and I'll be sure to update on how so.

I got a coolant res, brake res, and short runner made up from Haggard Fab. Nice guy a does good work so I wanted to support him. I polished up a few pieces really quick and painted majority of my motor parts Anniversary Gold. Also Greg (wasteofmoney) and I got the block rebuilt and assembled. I picked up some caps for my rs's as well.

My attention has turned to the mk4 again, who would have guessed right ha. I bought a set of wheels (Tracer Tech 2s) for it and plan to do something to it for SOWO. Not having a car you want to go to meets and such in kinda bummed me out now that the weather is nice.

yeah i've been planning the same mod, and equally haven't looked into it that much… i'm thinking that if the audi handles don't have the same mechanism inside the door then its going to be complicated..
unless theres a way to connect handles to existing door workings of jetta…

loving the gold details, and wheels are nice and shiny!

I'm new to mk2s but the existing was just a bent metal hanger style that pulls the door open. My initial thought is to use some cable and beads I use to work on garage doors and such since I have plenty around my work. It seems simple if it can work.

yeah well it can't be to complicated, i had the idea from seeing it done in some old magazines, so can't be to hard, but that was a time before build threads…i think the only trouble will be fixing it up to existing inside door handle (don't know if your keeping OEM door cards) and also its gotta fit in without blocking the window mechanism

Nope, I will be making my own door cards. I still wouldn't imagine much troubles if you were keeping oem door cards

Mocked up some of the motor, getting ideas for things.

Still mocking up the motor some. Waiting on head bolts so I can get it back together. Been painting things, ordering parts, etc... Tore the tank and rear beam out this weekend. Cleaning up the underside and repairing some rust.

                            Guess you're right Marc, updates...

I went on a shopping spree for the mk2 a few weeks back. I ordered a lot of stuff for the motor so it's ready to begin mocking everything up once bodywork/paint is finished. Mostly been cutting out rust and patching pieces lately. Laid a lot of filler on various things tonight also.

Threw the new seats in to get an idea how they would look. They're replicas, could give two ****s less.

Some progress on the rear end.

Drivers side wiper filler piece. Going mono wiper, no ugly plug cap here.

Laid some color on my mirrors to see what I thought of it. I really enjoy the color.
