I used to own a 93 Probe but a guy hit me and it got totaled. I had barely a budget because the case is still being argued and I'm only 17. I looked at so many junk cars on craigslist and these people are insane for their prices.

Don't want to bore you with any of the details so low and behold I picked up a Honda, full well knowing they are super reliable and good on mpg's and decently quick. I got a 1997 Honda Civic EX.

This thing is so riced out I'm actually embarrassed to drive it. So this build will basically consist of me de-ricing this Honda and making it clean and low( maybe fast if I get the monies)

So that's it for boring words on to some pics...

I can't get the tail lights to work at night for some reason the fuse just keeps blowing, if any of you can give me some insight on that it would be appreciated. And tell me what you think about it.

When i first got my civic i didn't have any taillights due to a fuse issue as well. Turns out one of the seals had gone bad and leaked water into the taillight housing, causing a short and blowing a fuse. Might be the source of your problem. If not there could be a short somewhere else in the electrical system. I'd **** to see you have to chase down bad wiring, but sometimes that's just the case.

      Wow, speed holes...

I haven't seen those in years. Looks pretty interesting so far. Check and make sure you have the right bulbs, then look for sketchy wiring.

Hope the de ricing goes to plan, good luck!

Well I live in Iowa and its been so freaking cold lately so I can't really look into it without freezing my ass off. But I think it might be the dipshit earlier owners wiring because I can see his shoddy work everywhere.

Basically if I put a new fuse in under the dash it blows as soon as I turn the headlights/tail lights on.

Its bad. It looks horrid, but its a good platform to start with. Once its de-riced, it will look better. Keep the mirror.

^this! They're awesome. Looks like it's gonna be lots of fun to try and fix it up, hopefully there isn't too much wrong with it.

Well I did some more tearing apart of the dash and it seems this idiot liked using ghetto wiring and black taped splices with no soldering or anything so I got rid of all that shit and checked all my grounds and put a fresh fuse in and it blew AGAIN. I'm so pissed.

But I did find that the third brake light was burnt out and I'm wondering if this would be causing it?

You might just be right. I checked the back bulbs because I was replacing them all and the third brake light bulb was blown, I haven't checked it with a new one but I'm going to try it tomorrow and hopefully it fixes so I can get on with this build.

                      Got an update for everyone.

I finally figured out the tail light issue. It was the pigtail in the back that the harness connects to and splits up the lights. I disconnected it and it didn't blow a fuse anymore

                      IMG_1483

I also stripped a bunch of random wires out of the dash.

                      IMG_1485

I learned that it was in a front end crash but I'm fine with it cause I'm planning on jdm swap far down the road.

                      IMG_1484

I literally took apart the whole under dash and most of the front to try and find this wire

                      IMG_1486

This motor mount was completely shot.

                      IMG_1480

I'm so glad I figured it out. Now it's time to clean it up and get it de-riced.

                            Thanks kyle.
I might as well be in japan it's so jdm. thanks dude.

I had some window weld type stuff and I want to get nicer engine mounts than the oem ones you can buy but I needed a mount for now so I just filled it with the glue stuff and it's drying now. It should hold until I get the money for a nice mount.
