  • Slow low budget Hoopty - E21

So I started off with a 2001 BMW 330xi E46. Got it in 2012 for my graduation car.

Couple months after I got H&R coilovers for it, which didn't go as low as I thought it would. But was good enough for me. Not too low.

I **** the blue. Came out horrible. Decided to just plastidip them white. Was super lazy that day.

Then the car went down hill from that. The front differential failed. Got that fixed. Then ball joints, bearings and other little things.

The thermostat went out on it, changed that. And now the heat doesn't get hot at all. Tired of this BMW.

    June 2013

Picked up this fine little thanngg for $150 (Unfortunately the only pic I took of it before the make over)

Soon after my brother talked me into cutting the springs until I made or bought coilovers.

    July 2013

Traded some goodies for a beat up set of XXR 521s. They were in horrible condition. Two of the wheels were bent. One had a giant bend in the lip. I just hammered the s**t out of it. Didn't care about them anyways. I loved the fitment. 16x8 et25 with 10mm spacers.

Did a tune-up and tried to Seafoam the motor. Began to run much better with no misfires.

    August 2013
Took a little road trip to St Joseph, Missouri to pick up a few things from 99sil-teg. Saw his 2002. The thing was beautiful. Almost love at first sight.

    October 2013

Discovered something called waterprinting. Wanted to try it out so I bought it. Not bad for my first time.

    November 2013

Traded the XXR 521s for XXR 513s. At first I thought it looked good. But after a few days of it just sitting in my garage for the winter, I started to **** the look. The wheels weren't very period correct for it and made the car look like a Japanese muscle. I love Japanese muscles but that's not what this is..

Traded a friend for these Konig Candy wheels. Never even got to put them on the car.

Then traded another friend for BBS Mahles. Too bad they're replicas But I still love them. Wish they were 16s though. Just need tires so I can hurry and throw them on!

As of now the E21 is sitting on jack stands until this snow clears up. Going to change a lot of things to it after it gets warmer out. Gots tahh keep it Classy. Iowa weather is so bipolar. Pending on a BBS front spoiler this weekend. Got a NRG steering wheel and QR hub set up. Just need the hub adapter now. My temp job is suppose to hire me on soon. Which means more hours and more pay! So then I can buy more parts sooner!

Hahaha is that plank from Ed Edd and Eddy? Im glad you got the XXR phase out of your system. The 521s actually somehow looked decent, but just not the right wheel choice for an e21. The mahale reps are a step in the right direction for sure! Keep it up, and 16s are too big for e21s anyway!

Yes it is. Was bored at work and made that lol. Childhood memories are the best. But yeah im trying to move always from the reps. It's just hard to choose what to spend money on first. Cosmetics, suspension/brakes, or performance. Sometimes its hard for me to sleep.
