  • B3 Wagon thingy

Hey guys, my name is colin.

coming to you from mk2 land, recently just bought my first b3 and just trying to work out the kinks.

    its a 1991 b3 wagon

    silver
    5-speed
    16v
    175xxx km
    raceland mk2 coils
    nardi personal
    sparco knob and boot

its got a few issues that still need to be sorted out,
the bulb reflector in the headlights have fallen down? (p.o. said they just bend back up, but as of now i have lights for about 1 foot)
fuel gauge is dead, did some searching, noticed lots of threads about the resistor breaking and needing some solder
gas pedal is rock hard, guessing the throttle cable is shot
brake pedal is so soft but it does stop well, think it needs a bleed
    front black grille is broken
    small dent on hatch
    rear bumper was hit

    when i picked it up

    after coils

    my mk2's for fun

got some work done this week, car is insured and on the road.

slowly making my way through the car. it has a sort of working gauge cluster,
need to get the correct one. found some vac leaks so i took some plumbing from my jetta
and got that all looking tip top and also replaced a broken knock sensor

electrical tape on a vac line WTF

          and all oem now

looking forward to the updates, judging from your mk2, this one should turn out to be wonderful

so my coils didn't get here in time for the weekend so that left me with nothing to really play with on
the daily. i was able to test fit my 7 slots while i was at my parents this weekend (stayed out of all that lovely pouring rain we get here)

i will need a bigger adapter for the front at least probably a 30mm instead of the 20 mm. i am also not satisfied with the tire situation even though
they are a fantastic tire they are just to tall in the front. The back is fine the bit of stretch seems to make the tire not appear so square.

picked up a fresh new set of raceland ultimos today.

got home and started throwing the fronts in because i was pretty tired of only having like 65% turning ability while parking haha.
got the fronts done in like 45 minutes, i have it down to an art. rears to come tomorrow, raised it just a bit in the front maybe like a quarter of
an inch so its driveable again.

                              old junk

                              new snazzy jazzy coils
