Building a.... Dodge Daytona!

Yep, it must be. But i think that the wing is from a real one. A bit history about the Daytona was, that the hat to make minimum 500 cars, for getting access to competing. There are story's about, that when the Nascar officials did travel around at the Dodge Dealers to count the Daytona's, that when they was at one shop, in one area, Dodge did take the approved Daytona's, repainted them, gave them new series number, and put them in the next shop. True i don't know, but fun it is!

Thank you very much. The clock is bed time, here in Denmark, but i'm just crazy of energy, because i'm going to give the Daytona a couple of hours. I wrote earlier, that i was done with disassembling.. I lied..

I'm going to put down the front suspension, and everything there! There's a little bit of rust in the front beam, so thats what i'm going to get a clear view go tomorrow, and also to get some pictures for you guys!

We are also (as soon as possible) getting the 440" block pressure tested. The block has been in an boat, for about 15 years ago, so we need to be sure that the salt water, hasn't damaged the block, in any way.

Not sure if its been mentioned but do you plan to run a four barrel carb or the three two barrels (six pack)?

Regardless I love this. If you are looking for a source of non stance related info try some of the pro touring sites. They should be able to help a ton with this type of car (I use them for reference on my classic Pontiac)

Yeah, its a bit funny. Actually, there is pretty many people, driving old american cars, here i Denmark, if you think about that we only are 5,5 million people. We have some okay summer meetings, believe it or not!

Btw, are we a bit different,my dad and i. I would like to make this Daytona, as in a real good condition technical, and underneath, but making it rat rod to look at (Maybe mat army green). My old man wants it, a bit more nice, to look at. Maybe paint it a decent color, and put the chrome list on. What do you guys think?

How about matte army green (US Army used Olive Drab) and chrome?

The matte paint will accent the chrome and make it more noticeable.
