Even though I already posted in the showroom I want to update this thread just to keep up with the timeline

Stripped the plasti dip off the wheels, which was a horrible process and took about 2 hours per wheel. Back to gold (yes there was a huge gash in my tire)

decided the rear wasnt low enough so took out a half coil

Also ground the fenders a little thinner to stop the rubbing

    painted the window trim

dumb ass neighbor backed into me

    did some swangin

A video posted by @brickballer on

scored some louvers for a good deal, they were super faded so I threw some fresh paint on em

And then I found these on cl, picket em up for $320 with the original tires from '89

Got some 195/45s mounted and did a test fit. First time with the 16x8 et0 on the rear with a 2" adapter. This is with it still resting on the jack not even dropped down all the way. Not going to work

Tried out the 16x8 et16. Perfect

and the 0 offset wheels sat pretty much perfectly flush on the front with 20mm adapters. Really makes me want to drop the front a bit with these wheels

Works for now but I am going to order different adapters so I can mount them the other way. I dont like having the larger lip up front

It rubbed a bunch on the inside of the wheel well, so I cut out the part it was rubbing on. Probably a bad idea but oh well at least it no longer rubs (exept a bit on the lip over big bumps). I am going to have to do something to fix this eventually. Good thing it is very dry here
