My name is Nick and this is my 1988 BMW 528 E28.
a little about the car and myself. i bought the car for a whopping 500 bucks from a guy who owned a bmw car dealership. he got it in a trade from an elderly man about 2 years before i bought it. he said it wasn't sure if it ran anymore but he did drive it for about a month after the trade. and it sat for the next following 2 year. its a Super ETA with well over 200k miles. Here is the day i bought the car in all its glory, a mess but i knew it could become something.

Before moving to florida a week after i bought the car i had to do some cleaning and i checked the brakes along with coolant and oil and tires. the tires were shot and dry rotted, oil was black, coolant was good, and it needed rear brakes. so i did the brakes because i was to broke at the time to do oil, coolant, or buy new tires.

Then i loaded up and moved to florida with hopes and prayers that it wouldn't break down or overheat or anything cause i only had it on the road for 2 days before i left haha.

the only thing i purchased before florida was a roof rack. and well the actual poles i didn't buy SO i improvised and used PVC pipe and painted it black haha it didn't old anything so it didn't last long. and i spray painted any obvious rust.

i had a job lined up and i ***** it so i quit after 3 days haha. i survived off of my savings account and E28 money
so nothing happened with the car until i could get another job while going to school. after finding a job 2 months later i had very little income so nothing major could happen. i bought new control arms because mine were shot and rattled every time i hit a bump so i replaced them.along with took off my destroyed US front bumper. and now some pics.

my roommate thought it'd be funny to vandalize my car. but he is a little slow and did it backwards. lol

i then took it to a mud bogging event and was the only car out there. but i was super cool cause i only had one wiper and i painted my grill black.

and i washed it.

i also relocated my blinkers behind my grill

i took apart my cluster to try and fix my rpm tach. figured out the problem BUT money was once again an issue so i put it back still broken haha.

and the one wiper didn't work at all so i put both of them back on.

then i was once again cool and parked next to a maserati, R8, and M3. only for like 5 mins though

i then tucked my rear bumper and found some awesome cancer.

I then tried to diagnose a coolant leak and found out the problem very quickly haha. Since it was my daily i had to find a replacement asap. so i replaced my reservoir with one from an E21.

after that i ordered more parts to finally give it a tune-up and oil change.

and my old plugs and distributor cap and rotor were pretty bad

and the new ones were way better

couple months later i bought new wheels off craigslist and new tires for the wheels. luckily for me two wheels were slightly bent, and my lugs were to long and they were hitting my parking brake assembly in my rear axle.
