iv always wanted an e28 in black since the first time i saw one, however i didnt think i would own one for a very long time, nor did i think it would be my ideal one.
after getting 3 points for stretched tires on my daily, i decided i needed to scratch my modding itch with a project, so i went to ebay and searched for cheapish e30s, however this popped up amongst the adverts, and i fell in love. recently resprayed black, 6 cylinders, recently skimmed head on the m20, no rot or rusty arches/sills, everything was there.

it was just before my 21st birthday an i thought im never going to find one this perfect again and i probably wouldnt of had the money at the time if i did, so i messaged the owner, took near enough all my money out of my bank and went 3 hours down the road with my girlfriend and step dad to pick it up.
once i got it back to the warehouse, i declared it sorn and decided i was taking it off the road till next spring, in this time im going to do save my money back up and get the basics out the way.
first of all, all the chrome work was in fairly good condition apart from the front left side corner, and it annoyed me. so i hit ebay again and found a replacement section. it isnt oem but it is brand new so im happy with it

next was the paint, it was painted a few years back but they obviously didnt really know how to wash or take care of paint, so it was swirl heaven. i borrowed my mates machine polisher, bought some compounds and hit youtube for some tutorials.after MANY hours and some acheing arms i managed to get the paint looking pretty decent if i do say so myself

iv always wanted an alpina front valance aswel, ebay to the rescue again! needs fitting at the sides then paint

iv got a few parts ready to put on i just need the time in the workshop, also placing an order with broadwaystatic very soon, so i need to start on pulling the front struts for welding.
