Love that wing on the trunk are you going to leave it like that to rust or are you going to paint it.
(Would look badass either way btw)
well i wasnt anticipating it to rust so quickly on my trip to colorado, but my plans are to take that rust back off, then sand the rest of the paint off the trunk and then let them rust or age at the same time then put some fat coats of clear on it, same with the hood. thanks btw
I think the awkward angled spoiler, and the rusty trunk are the only things I don't like about this build thread. I say that if you are going to rust it, do the whole thing.

Otherwise, the fitment looks great.
I didn't rust it on purpose my trip to Colorado did and it will get all aged equally and cleared coated. It's better looking in person and actually flows with the body curve of the 1/4 panel.
Thanks tho!
so spent some time taking car of some rubbing issues lately, bleed my brakes, dialed in camber and height, put my front end on, rawed my hood and painted my grill
also my pictures suck, i need a real camera and some editing software or maybe a computer too.
had to notch a thin piece of metal than hung down from my frame.
good use of old d-sports
day in the life of...
cleaned my engine bay up and waxed it
face down ass up
before
after, poored acid on it then water
I feel like the rusty hood is just trying too hard to give a fuck.
This is, after all, the DGAF build.
its raw so it matches the trunk which had to be raw since i welded the spoiler to it, and because it was white and i dont want to paint match the hood if im going to be respraying the whole car later on
looks good. I love these body styles. I have one myself. i wouldn't rust it tho. i have never seen one without rust around me. looks like yours is rust free other than the hood and trunk. haha

Absolutely loved the build until you said you were going to rust the hood and trunk lol. And obviously who likes fake wheels but whatever. Love the custom work and all in all the car is sick!

ahhhhh haha sorry to disappoint but i like it i think it adds to the character of the car imo. fake wheels yeh i know but ya gotta start somewhere and at least you dont these reps everywhere
You should def paint the hood that factory green, it would look so cleann....imo
never thought this car would be called beautiful but thanks a lot its good to hear that. for now the rust will stay, i just feel like if the hood was green and only the trunk is rusty it would be kind of random. when i decide to tackle the paint stage of this car maybe ill go a cleaner route though ya never know!
