The pursuit of Zen... My journey toward automotive perfection (e30 content))
Maybe im looking at it wrong or dont know the size but i was thinking its no way that box is getting in that trunk lol
Yeah, it fits in there pretty dang tight! Perfect fitment though
This happened, I have more pics of the process but I'm gonna go outside and work on my truck rather than be on the internets...
I'm still sort of on the fence as to loving it or wanting the white back
Getting new tires this or next week so going to 205/50 from 225/45 and pushing them out more!
I rolled over 170k miles the other day and I have 2 qts of Redline MTL 75w80 sitting here for the trans, and some 75w140 with LSD additive on the way... Gonna do the trans fluid maybe tomorrow and I'm plotting to put my 4.27LSD back in. Too many peg leg/one wheel peels for me Plus the ratio is ~8% shorter so 8% more seat of pants horsepowers!

I gotta find one... all of them here are sold by sketchy craigslist guys.... i've checked two out and they all had weird issues well and being rust buckets too
Today was a good day... IMG_3433 by Der E30, on Flickr
Because 991 GT3... IMG_3424 by Der E30, on Flickr
410x36MM or 16.14 inch PCCBs:drool: With 20inch centerlock wheels. Yes, those brake disks are literally bigger than my wheels!IMG_3425 by Der E30, on Flickr
Who said that quality fitment and performance didn't go together! The Carrera RS America was getting it done!IMG_3429 by Der E30, on Flickr
More of the RS America and its GT3 relative IMG_3431 by Der E30, on Flickr
I NEED a 996 Turbo in my life! IMG_3430 by Der E30, on Flickr
Sitting in grid. Note RS5 creeping in the background! That thing was really fast on slicks! IMG_3426 by Der E30, on Flickr IMG_3427 by Der E30, on Flickr IMG_3428 by Der E30, on Flickr
I liked this car a lot! Wing on wing is something only a Porsche can pull off! Also notice that he's trying to bet on what the weather will do. "To slicks or not to slicks, that is the question!" IMG_3432 by Der E30, on Flickr
The beautiful weather in the morning somewhat deteriorated by the afternoon run group. And I forgot my jacket in the car back in the pits and was stuck in the cold rain with stiff wind for a few hours being a cone wrangler in a sweatshirt : IMG_3434 by Der E30, on Flickr
Obviously finshed my day off at Dicks Drive In! THis is Washington weather at its finest. Decent in the morning, rain in afternoon and beautiful again in the evening::1:IMG_3437 by Der E30, on Flickr
Small update.
Bothell e30 meet a few weeks ago.
Went for a really fun drive and stopped for picturds. More proof my car isn't really alpine!1: I actually love the extra creamy-ness it has
Found a tree with pretty leaves
New screensaver
Oh man its been a while since youve updated this thread.
The car looks so good dude (but when are you gonna lower it though)
Its been a while because nothing has really happened I did pick up a pair of front struts that will eventually be shortened, but that's on hold.
iX shocks which are 2 inches shorter fit in but the valving is waaaay too soft for 500lb springs I guess By the time I add it all up I may as well drop like 200 more to get another Ground Control kit with short shocks So what I was thinking was going to be a 200 dollar project turned into a 1200 dollar project and I'm throwing money at my truck to get IT done before spring! And I have no time because #senior year at college, so I'm slammed with homework too.
Edit: I also want to up the rear spring rate to 700lb/inch so just going to new GC set up wouldn't be that much more than ordering koni S/A or D/A and then sending them back to be revalved and buying new springs, and still have old rear shocks.

Holy balls.
Also I need to see your truck in person like yesterday

Yeah. Well, next time you're up North, shoot me a PM! Not a whole lot to see with it besides what is in that thread but you're welcome to come see it Hoping that in spring I'll have it in paint and badass again, but this quarter has been hell with school and next quarter looks pretty similar and I'll have my new internship/job in addition...
I still have hella plans (shhhh not telling) but no time and not much money! That should change hopefully once I get my CPA and start being an accountant
edit: Actually my plan is that I'm sorta looking on Craigslist for the perfect late model e30 with a blown motor or slightly wrecked for cheap, then do hella build to it and keep this one clean! New one would have some rad body mods and a rad motor swap...
