Just gotta go lower. Don't get me wrong I loved the 19s but they were pretty narrow and plain looking. I'd had them for almost a year and I was looking for a change!

Thanks! I mean, I sort of lucked out with respect to the color; it completely matches the paint color of the car. I think if the paint gets any worse I will strip and polish them.

The problem is, color matched faces is sort of a donk thing....

Decided to take the 6 out to Cars & Coffee of the Upstate today.

Woke up early to find this. Who the hell gives out a parking ticket at 6:24 AM?

Got her all cleaned up and ready to go.

An interesting G35 on Avant Gardes parked next to me.

Also, saw this INSANE straight piped FC RX7.

FINALLY. Got the front on, clad in 225/45/18 tires. What a nightmare. Let me know what y'all think. I might need a 20mm spacer in the front and maybe like a 10mm in the rear?

This was supposed to be an update with the Manarays finished.

Instead, this happened. So now resealing everything to stop this new and interesting leak. Funny how pretty much anything that can go wrong, will... Murphy's Law and whatnot. At this rate I'll have to keep these wheels until I die because of the amount of time/money in them

Also, "Gorilla" lug nut key my ass.

I need to get my old 5zigen's refurbed, my family was telling me to JB weld it but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE fuck that shit. How much did it cost to get a crack welded?
I had my exhaust work done when the car was at stock height and hadn't planned on putting coils on it. The Y-pipe flange hangs way lower than it should.

It was $100 a wheel because each barrel had been JB welded in two places. I'm throwing him another $50 to polish the lips while he's in the neighborhood. Will handle the rears myself.

Me too. I guess you could always upconvert the lips and barrels to 19s but the faces would look stupid. The fronts will look significantly better than the rears because of how the suspension is set up; I'm tucking a ton of tire in the front but barely any in the rear.

(Also if you're looking for a plate for the car I suggest WANK SC)

Didn't intend for the title to be off-putting, more like it's an unusual car to modify but it's not rare and more of a FWD family sedan. Sorry it came off that way.

Re: wheels; it was definitely a gamble going for 18s and not larger VIP-inspired wheels, but I like how the rears look and we'll see how it looks with all four on. Btw, I think I saw your car(s?) at SoWo. Old VW hatch/squareback?

Re: driving low, it was kind of an 'oh shit' situation and I sort of had to scrape. Misjudged traffic making a right. It may not look that low but the exhaust is maybe 3" off the ground. You will get used to scraping on things and driving slowly out of places. It just takes time, but it gets fun after a while.
