What made you decide to sell them already?

The car is currently in standby mode waiting for the new wheels. I've swapped back to stock wheels; my Rays are currently for sale with tires if anyone is interested.

Yes. Definitely keeping the color, at least for now. The faces just so happen to more or less match my car's paint so we'll at least see how it looks.

    Thanks. Plans at this point:
    - Buy rear tires and valve stems
    - Fit wheels
    - Take out perches in rear to go lower and spin front coils down
    - Leather interior retrofit from a Grand Touring

By the way, roof rack is now gone. Someone offered me way more than I paid.

    Just picked these up

    Manaray MS 06
    18x9 +30
18x10 I have no idea what the rear springlesprangle is.
PO had the faces refinished in a chameleon blue/purple color.

Need to get new rear tires and new valve stems for the front to alleviate a slow leak.

    Thanks!

OK, so it settled some more. Ride height is now here.

Went to work on these little bastards:

...only to discover that the metal part behind the other bumpstops were banging into the collar, which would explain the loud noises. I think the collars weren't centered right, because I made sure they were properly seated in the spring cups and now this isn't happening anymore.

Meanwhile, went to get an aligment. Unfortunately, there's no negative camber on the fronts anymore, so the tires rub like a motherfucker. Also, when the front end is properly aligned, it turns out the front left is about 3/4 of an inch higher than the front right coilover. So I have to deal with that. It's been insanely cold here in NC, so waiting until it warms up just a bit to figure that out. Racing against the clock before I go back to Furman aka Greenville SC on Saturday.

Yes they do. Unfortunately most of them are from places like Lithuania and Russia and they get the JDM Atenza bumpers that look better. I wonder if a retrofit is possible.

I may take the roof rack off to see how it looks. I do actually use it to carry bikes, but since it's winter....

As for the stickers, I went to SoWo 2013 with a buddy of mine and bought a bunch of stickers to put on my car as a joke because it was stock and a Mazda. I didn't actually plan on modding it, so now I awkwardly have VW scene kid stickers all over my car.
