I'd have to see a similar before picture, but it doesn't look too much different from the outside, I'm sure it's a different look in person it always is.

The pillars were an ugly tan so they really stood out on a dark blue car with black interior. Had a unicorn fabric picked out but it was vetoed!

Spent a lot of time in the garage tonight just puttering around and trying to clean the car up some. As stupid as this sounds I've been trying to make some changes elsewhere to dress better/eat healthy/etc and I guess it's spilling over into the car.

- Detailed the interior trim (haven't done in FOREVER and it looked so bad in the interior pic I posted earlier today I decided enough was enough)
- cleaned the door and trunk jambs
- Waxed the whole car with paste wax which I haven't done in years
- Polished out some scuffs
- Even took off a couple stickers.
- Fixed the fog light that's been out for several months

Feels good to be outside tinkering, even if I'm not making big moves or making a lot of money this summer (two unpaid internships) it's nice to have the car improve a little.

Lol it wasn't exactly well planned out. I had my little sister with me at the fabric store and she "helped" pick out patterns

We were parked there too for a little while on Friday I think. Yep, the center caps have a tortoise shell pattern.

The galaxy is pretty weird but it does sort of match the outside of the car. The pillars used to be this awful tan plastic that made the whole windshield area look chunkier than it actually is, now it looks so much different if you view the car from the front.

Those wheels look perfect on there. Got a closeup of the centercaps, I saw on IG you said they had a turtle look?

Also, the dash wrap actually looks great, the galaxy not so much lol

Still **** I didn't get to hang this year again. I was walking through the Bigg Daddy's parking lot when y'all rolled through, I was too far away to get your attention though

Little bitty post-SoWo update. Here are some pics, had an absolute blast.

Was great seeing friends I basically never get to see. Also note my buddy Scott's bagged white new 6 stealing the fuck out of my thunder lolol.

LOL @ how the wheels are just mirrors when rolling. This is the first rolling shot ever taken of my car!


OH AND I FINALLY DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING TO MY INTERIOR

... which probably looks weird as hell but I couldn't take how boring it was anymore. Wrapped the trim (which in my car is an awful crinkle black, Mazda really dropped the ball on this) in a brown leather animal print fabric and did the A-pillars in galaxy. Boy, wrapping with fabric is really hard.

I wonder if you can lay transparent powder over chrome?

Rumor has it you can. Those Rapiers would be un-god-damn-believable in a candy gold over that chrome base, especially if you could work some rainbow flake in there. Yeah, gold on blue has been done ever since the STi came stateside, but it's a classic combo for a good reason. Plus, you keep gross-ing up your windows with gold stickers, so it seems like that combo appeals quite a bit to you

I have to actually see you this time. I had the worst luck with seeing people last year lol.

I love the Rapiers, but I kinda think that the chrome / polished centers are masking just how deep the lips are.

I know I tossed the idea of cream-colored faces at you a long time back, but I can't help but think these would be unbelievable painted Cadillac white, especially with those tortoise-shell caps. Even better yet if you had the bolts plated gold to match the logo on the center cap...

The Dukes looked great on there, but they were a very "safe" choice. I like that you're pushing in a more unconventional direction.

I was *this* close to having them powdercoated before they were shipped to me but I was worried about not having them in time for SoWo. Part of me really does like the chrome faces in person because it matches with the window trim I never blacked out (to the irritation of the Mazda6 forums lol). I'm thinking either a high gloss white or a transparent gold. It's a shame gold is on literally everything now because the dark blue/deep gold color combo does look good.
