  • Okay, so it's been a pretty decent amount of time since I've updated my thread. Sitting here bored and figured I might as well!

    - Graduated college.
    - Going to school to get a Master's in business management in about two weeks.
    - Decided that I might need to dial the car back a little bit so I don't look like a raving lunatic when potential colleagues or employers see me, or at least that's what I told myself to justify getting the new wheels.

They're Work Euroline SL, 19x9 +5 19x10 +7. Very weird specs for original SLs, but they're original.

Here are a couple pics my dudes. I loved the Rapiers but I think this just objectively looks better -- pardon the absence of front center caps!

    • I saw this down at the Cambergang meet during sowo this year. It looked good with the Weds on it, but the Eurolines take it to a whole other level! Good work!!

      • Still looks great! Don't know if I like the new wheels as much, but once you get them center caps and a proper shoot it will show them a bit better.

        Gratz man!

But are the wheel nuts different on the left and right side? haha

Yup haha. My girlfriend bought 326Power lugs for her car and she doesn't have wheels yet so she wanted me to see how they looked on my car. A little extreme for my tastes!

Center caps just came in mail! Need to figure out how to mount them; stupid tire shop snapped all the tabs on two of them, hence them not being on the wheels.

I think another reason why I got rid of the Weds was that they were pretty much beat to shit -- it would've cost close to a grand to get them to the condition that these Works are in, and the guy wanted a straight trade. Plus, idk, you get tired of the style after a while. 15 months is an eternity for me in terms of how long I generally keep wheels!

Just be glad that they didn't break while you're on the road.

You could epoxy them to the wheel, or have a tab 3d printed and plastic weld it to the cap.

If you decide to epoxy them on, tell the tire shop to balance the wheels with the caps on, and not to remove them.

                • love the new wheels, fits the car. now you just need to get rid of the "sweet and sour chicken" decal you have on the sides. would clean the car up to no end.

LMFAO that's pretty great! I'm alright though. The door banners are probably one of my favorite things about the car - it used to really look like a giant expanse of very dark blue so you would just see wheels floating in the middle of nowhere, especially at night. This adds some contrast to the car although I recognize it's not for everyone.

Thanks man! Congrats to you too.

My next idea is some front seats. It's gonna be a bit of a project because I'd like to put Volvo S60 R 'Nordkap' front seats in the car -- I had them in my R and they were pretty much the best seats ever. Plus -- dark blue leather!

                        • Hi guys, was googling something completely unrelated and one of the results was a Stanceworks forum post. Been getting kinda nostalgic about the old forum days lately.

Little bit of an update. Finished business school 3 weeks ago and moved to Atlanta (Gwinnett County if anyone is local) for a job at NAPA. Finally have some semblance of an income and am excited to get back into cars after a hiatus of a year or two!

At this point, torn between getting a project car and starting again on a new platform or getting a daily and really giving the Mazda some love. My girlfriend is a graphic designer and one thing on the list regardless will be a more aggressive-looking livery, probably still with chrome vinyl or maybe silver and purple. Also most likely getting chrome or blue window tint.

Here's a recent pic of the car in Helen; about to turn over 140k miles and have to really give it a shoutout for being so dependable and getting me where I need to go since I was 19, I'm 23 now!

                          Oh, and a funny one.

I hope people still visit these forums and the old crowd is still around! Hope everyone is doing well.
