AND fucking finally I got around to banding the 17" wheels. 3" band.
225\45\17 11" wide. Im considering a 4" band on the rear wheels now. I think i probably could make it work.

here it is pre rolling. its sitting on the rubber

IMG_20150211_185437 by Tim Holm, on Flickr

    slight roll in the front

IMG_20150213_204253 by Tim Holm, on Flickr

cut the lip and rolled it so it almost clears the rubber, still need some more work

post roll and cut rear. its really rough but Im going to go over it with tin and smooth it out

IMG_20150215_170328 by Tim Holm, on Flickr

post roll in front, I can still go a little lower here i think. should be able to remove the adjusters or one of the springs in the coilover but that might affect handeling to much

tore down the parts engine, looks like what happened was that one of the rod bolts snapped, and then the other one bent and the crank pushed the rod trough the block

Im using the head and getting the intake cam moded to fit the exhaust side, then im swaping over the intake cam from the engine in the car to this one when im swaping engiens

I was planing on taking the 325 to Gatebil on ice, but its acting up. seemes to be a missfire on nr 4. coil plug and injector are all good so must be a lifter or someting.

but because thats not runing properly I desided to prep the 316..

got these angle adaptors as well but I dindet have time to mount them, so just stock 316 with welded diff

they posted this video just now. its mostly norwegian but you get the idea

Gatebil On Ice @ Hebbe Isbane 2015 from Gatebil on Vimeo.

was my first time on ice, and first time drifting the compact so lots of challenges
    silver supra is Fredrik Aasbø

I had one off and smshed my fog light and lost the lisense plate but thats not to bad I think.

Im kinda glad I went with the 316. one fueltank for the full day. even had a little left when i got back home

here it is back from the trip. its about 5 hours drive each way so we left around 4 in the morning and got back around 11 at night

I bhought another engine from a guy up there. its another m50b25nv and it has a ZF gearbox

was a terribe job geting it into the car but out was pretty easy

Got my brother cuting the rims

    before and after

Got a winter tire mounted with some butane and a lighter, 205\65\15 on an 9" wide rim

doing the next 2 tomorow or one of these days

Btw the wheels where pretty good actually, does woble a little around 80kph, but these rims did that before as well.
Im getting them balanced as soon as ive done all of them anyways, but its suprisingly easy to get this right

quick test fit on the compact

Two down, just waiting for the paint to dry now. Ill be running 205\65 winter tires on these for now. would probably look beter with som lower profile but thats what I got at the moment.

Guess its about time to update this thing again

Its been a while now but we liftet the engine and trans out by hand, its not that heavy for 2 people(so glad its not a 2JZ)
    IMG_2338 copy

sendt the head in to get the seats replaced then I went over all the valves to make sure it was good.
    IMG_2416
left it over night and it was still pretty full

I put the head on one of the m52 blocks I bought (So I should have a bit higher comp)
and put the engine back in the car
    IMG_2652

    IMG_2657

video from the start up. no headers :P thats me looking all scruffy from lining up the motor mounts

When I started bleeding the coolant system I found out that this little fucking elefant had a hairline crack all the way trough it, its made from aluminium so there must have been some pretty high pressure in the coolant system.
    IMG_2763

offcourse its at the back of the engine and allmost impossible to get at.. but I finnaly got it out and got a new used one from an engine at the scrap heap. sorry to whom ever buys one without it

So after all that shit here it finally is in all its crappy glory, now with 20mm spacers.
needs a bit of a roll in the back

Bike in the backgroun is my caffe racer project from 2 years ago 1974 Yamaha XS 650
here is the LINK for that

and the compact is my daily driver I bought while the 325 was broken. its only a 316 but it lights up the tires on dry asphalt
I'll get back to that one soon
