Sounds like a good plan. I love the patina/character the truck has already.

Figured I'd start a build thread on my 1966 Chevrolet C10 LWB. Truck is pretty solid with the usual cancer in the fenders and has some surface patina. Before the resto/paint Nazis charge from the hills this truck is staying like it is body wise.

Has the original 230 straight 6 with the 3 on the tree trans. the motor has been refreshed in the last few months along with a new trans. The day I picked it up it was almost to 4x4 height with some "centerline like" cragers and nappy faded tint. Within the week I soon changed all that and dropped it 6/7 with some drop coils and drop shocks. I can go lower static, but need a notch on the rear and some drop spindles up front. I plan to eventually put it on air and body drop it and also throw some white walls on it. I need to go through some of the wiring and fix the "rigged' setup that is going through the truck now. the truck rides great and is a blast to drive. Not powerful by any means, but cruising is way better. Hope you guys enjoy the progress along the way.

The day I picked it up from the owners house...
