  • Building my dream car : 1998 Subaru Impreza RS

Well, i've been saving a lot and doing a lot of planning now for a while and i've finally started moving forward with an idea thats been in my head for a long time : building a gc8 impreza. Now i've only just scratched the surface here, and i've only taken the first few small steps, but i'm really happy with the way the car is looking so far. I'll edit this thread as time goes on with a back story but its late and i wanna go to sleep so i'll just start with posting this for now. Some various pictures people have taken in the last two days after mounting my wheels and lowering it. Pretty much all of them were taken with potatos. Whatever lol. This ought to give some of you a rough idea of what direction i want to take this car in. The wheels are 17x9 +30 Fifteen52 Tarmacs that i bought off of Zak Shope, (many of you may have seen them on his white swapped gc8 thats now on CCW's) a while after purchasing them i sent them to a local guy ( @jdiem of 4everkustoms) to have them polished. The rest is history basically. I'll get into it more in depth as time goes on. Let me know what you guys think so far!!!

Very very clean car, love the Tarmacs in full polish on there as well.

Zebra print on the wink is kind of killing how clean the car looks to me though

Thanks! i'm running fortune auto 500's with the shock bodies shortened and the upgraded bearings. Along with plates and camber bolts.

even your camber out from front to back, or get rid of as much of it as possible. with flat face wheels, the heavy camber out back vs less up front looks jank.

other than that, cool car, looks good so far

Not a massive fan of the polished wheels, but overall this thing is looking really good so far. While probably overdone, something simple like gloss white would set it off really nicely. Keep it up dude!

Thanks everybody! Like I said it needs some dialing in yet. It has too much camber up front and the whole car needs to go lower. Was mainly concerned with making sure it was road worthy so it doesn't get in my dad's way. I'm a marine stationed in NC and I can't take it with me yet. I installed everything over leave, so I had to balance friends/family/ and the car. I have a TON of parts for it set aside and more on the way. You can expect this car to get pretty ridiculous in the next couple months.
