First off, I'm Zach. I'm 19 years old out of St Clements, Ontario. I have owned 13 s10's in the last 4 years. This is a build thread for my 1991, which was purchased in the spring of 2012.
The truck is currently in storage, and sits half-together with a warped frame. Here I will start to tell you how I got the truck to where it is now. In a few months, I will be removing the truck from storage and beginning the rebuild, where I will continue the thread.
Spring 2012:
I purchased this truck from a guy just past Collingwood, Ontario. It was listed for $4000 with a valid safety inspection. Here are a few photos of how the truck sat upon purchase. Excuse me for the poor pictures, my Mom took them while I was looking at the truck.

You'll notice that the truck happens to be badged as a Chevy S10. The title says GMC Sonoma, which is what it rolled off the assembly line as. 2 owners before me, the guy rebuilt the truck from the frame up. Sometime before that it was imported from Atlanta, Georgia. The builder moved the engine and transmission back about 1" to help with weight distribution to the rear a tad. He painted the whole truck a bright Red (burgundy from factory), and lowered the truck using 2" Spindles, 2" Coils, pulled a leaf and added 4" angled blocks with slapper bars. The truck sat on 16x8 and 16x7 American Racing TorqThrusts.
The first couple days of owning it, I swapped the grille and bumper to some I had laying around. Also removed the hood to fix the windshield nozzle issue.

The truck was a handful of fun. I literally beat the life out of it, burnouts and drifting and such. Not a week goes by and I start hearing a minor knock. Well, she's already blown, may as well have fun with it before pulling it. Heard a good bang mid-slide, stock 4.3L's don't like being at 6k as you'll see shortly.

I was lucky enough to be able to use the shop in our backyard at home. We pulled the truck in and began teardown immediately. Had the motor and tranny out in a matter of a few hours.
