  • The Car that stole my life . . . . Literally

So i have a boring 1995 E36 318i auto 4 door (Manuel soon) with 199k on the clock. Its currently sitting on Race land Ultimo's (some say ehh i say there pretty great). I made an exhaust for it my self basically dropped the oem cat back cut the muffler and welded a cherry bomb with a boso tip i also made. You'd think it would sound stupid actually sounds like a subie which i find pretty funny. Well the interior was tan and nasty looking so i did a complete interior swap to black. Also added fold down rear seats . In the front i found some cheap made race style seats with a ///M logo on the head rest they were $200 for both so i said what the hell and bought them. Now i'm either looking for recaros or bride seats. I put one of those JDM wink mirrors i personally like being able to see out my side windows without having to turn my head around.
Well enough with the small talk to start off my slow and steady build thread i'm starting with a shaved bay/ semi tucked bay. I shaved all of unnecessary accessories such as a/c, windshield fluid reservoir, cruise control, coil pack bracket (went with coil over plug mod), battery shelf, removed hood latch added hood pins, and ran wires threw the fender. Hope you enjoy this was more of a learning project. Currently bay is primed still cant decide on a color. But heres the steps kinda.

The oem color is calypsorot red but it's not going to be that forever, so I guess I'll keep it primer for now and I want to do a ls1 motor swap but I'll be leaving for bootcamp I'm 10 days.

What branch did you join? All my projects are on hold for a few years thanks to the Navy. Also, I had Ultimos in my E36 M and loved them. I removed the adjuster in the rear for maximum low and the fronts were almost spun all the way down and they still rode like a million bucks

I joined the Marine Corps and I'm at the same height but the cars sitting on blocks so it doesn't look to low.

The bay is looking good. I hope everything else is toned down though (stickers, front plate, seats, etc)
