  • LowMonroe: Ruck build?

I had some information about my ruckus and the build in my car thread but since it basically picked up a lot lately I decided to make a thread for it!!

    2013 ruckus.
I've had it since about May of 2013

I don't know if I should make a new thread or not... But this is happening....

    SIGNING THINGS...

Ready to take it home now.. Purchased it with only 1 mile on it. 2013 Honda Ruckus

Myself and Nathan (egstance) taking it back to my house!

Took the mirrors off since they are HUGE! Also removed the front wheel/mud/dirt/water/whatever you want to call them "guards" off the front and rear but after this photo was taken.

    Breaking it in!

Only things I need in my life.

I didn't have the "correct" helmet and I had this.. and wanted to ride.. So.. yea!
Cops around here don't care if you have a "novelty" helmet or a DOT helmet if you are on a scooter/moped so I can get away with it.

Happen to come up on some guy on a dirt bike haha

Drove to Lowes to pickup some hardware to mount my new pegs. Just some 2 3/4in pegs for a bmx bike. They are the perfect size to
take sharp turn and they won't drag the ground since they are so short.

      after mounting

used a small LARGER nut to help space them out away from the plastic.

      11 POLE WIRING

      WIRED UP.

DORBY WORKS package came. Had wheels/mount/fuel pump/longer brake cable and throttle cable/clear fuel hoses/keychain/stickers
      yea!

      WAITING FOR REAR TIRE.

FRONT WHEEL WONT GO ON UNTIL I ACQUIRE ALL PARTS NEEDED FOR THE DISK BRAKE CONVERSION.

      MOUNTED UP.

      YES SIR.

AFTER A LITTLE TUNING HERE AND THERE.. on the stock 103 jet.

I could've gone faster.. but yea. Trying to not do 60 until it's broken in properly.

Photos over time... I didn't keep up with everything. I just kept buying and kept modifying....

How it looked for most of it's life up til now.

        Sold the Dorby Mount...

Had to get a new engine.. The first gy6 I installed had some issues out of the box... and they only got worst.

So I went with a weld on Mojo-Customs mount.

          DorbyWorks 12x8 6 spoke wheel.

cut a small design in it.

          Tac welded on.

          hmmmm

Got some ruckus goodies for xmas.

I bought a used Velocita muffler from a friend in Atlanta.. for 75$ (only fit skinny)
After a while I went fatty. Traded my muffler for this muffler seen here. (minimoto GP muffler)

All in all I spent 75$ initially for the traded exhaust. Then 7$ at Lowes. 6.50$ for paint. 88.50$ total spent for a nice exhaust set up.

I then welded up just a header at the right spot (instead of the flange idea)

Bought this rod. (from Lowes ready for welding. Same thickness as any other ruckus muffler)

Cut the rods down to a 4in piece, 8in piece, and 9in piece.

Attached the cylinders down where the bolts will hold it down and the flat tab to the muffler and tac welded everything in place and this is my result/mockup

I then welded it completely together.. then
smoothed out the welds and slag.

Hit it with some High Temp flat black.

Bam. Exhaust is done and sounds amazing. (also tried my best to break the hanger/bracket.. wouldn't bend or budge)

This pic was before I smoothed out the welds and slag. Just a test ride to see how stable it was.
(My rucks is under the knife right now. So excuse the engine mount and tail light bracket removal and so on)

Basically how it sits right now. Frame is getting powder coated the same color as my sedan. That's happening soon. Gonna wait until after I move into a new house in January.

Yea I love the weld on mount. You can get a stretch that you want!! Mount it where ever and just adjust your rear coil accordingly!!
