potential 1972 mercedes 250ce build

ok so my grandfathers friend is selling this benz that he wanted to restore but couldn't. his price was 3000 NZD. I'm pretty set on selling my e30 and using the money to put this on air and get this thing legal with a bit of love and welding. he says there is no rust and from what i saw when i went to see it there was nothing too bad on the surface at least.

plans are to keep the wheels and give them the ole spruce up, and of corse i would love to bag it.

anyway heres the car



unfortunately its auto and i don't think there will be many parts around for a swap ah well
anyway any thoughts would be good, cheers

thanks dudes! progress will probably start happening a couple of weeks after the purchase, need to sell my e30 and then go pick it up etc.

and yeah theres so many sick benzos on here, so hopefully some of the OGs can help a yungin out

ok so funny story. i was on the way to put down the deposit on the benz, when out of nowhere, a wild porsche appeared. i was more or less in love. i decided i would buy it after giving it a bit of a look since it was for sale. i got it crazy cheap too which is a bonus.

i then went to the house and said can i buy your car and he said yeah so i gave it a look and it all checked out

so im gonna go pick it up tomorrow

its in pretty good condish. exterior is pretty straight. got a bit of a small crack in the bumper and some paint fade but thats about it. interior it has the infamous 1980 cracked dash and a pretty tatty lookin drivers seat and some other little stuff.

but nonetheless i gave the guy some money after taking it for a ride and said id take it.

plans are to get some coilovers and some new seats first. then ill work on getting some nice deep dish 5 piece wheels, and eventually id like to respray it black.

anyway ill put some pics up tomorrow when i get my new friend. i think I'm gona name him hans
