Hi guys my names Hunter, or CeliBra, whatever you prefer. I've been a lurker for a while and decided to finally make an account. So I suppose I should make a build thread.
Currently I own a 2000 celica gt. Now, most of the time when people think of celicas they think awful overly complicated body kits, big ugly ricer wings, ugly wheels, and fart cannons. However, I wanted to build a clean, well done, and nice to look at car. I feel like it would be really cool to do so, as you do not see many clean nor stanced celicas, and most are generally riced out junk. Either way, I started getting ideas from some guys over at newcelica.org and a few threads i found on here!
So I started simple and purchased a jp vizage replica poly lip, just like the one on this car. Okay so I didn't buy it, it ended up being a christmas present. I know, Im pathetic.
After that I was trying to decide between new springs, or coilovers. Obviously coilovers would have been my first choice, but I simply could not afford them. However, I ended up finding raceland coilovers through a friend of mine and decided to give them a shot. I just received those today, and will hopefully install them within the next week.
I've been trying to decide on wheels for quite a while, and if I could choose I would rock some simple 17 inch white wide steelies. However, all the 17s I have ever found were never in my bolt pattern which sucks major donkey balls. I've found plenty of 16s, but right now im on stock 15s and would really prefer 17s or 18s. I also have a friend who said he would sell my his STRs that are on his s2k at the moment for 400 with the tires, which probably have 45% tread left. Unfortunately they have a pretty crazy offset and im not sure if they will fit. If anyone knows of a good place to get 17 inch steelies in 5x100....let me know, seriously. I'll love you.
