    Heyyyyyyyyy

    UPDATE

So after last weeks test fit it was obvious the wheels weren't going to fit without some major front camber, and these cars aren't camber adjustable from the factory. So we had to get crafty. Luckily enough my friend Derek Birch (Derek_AntiAir) is parting out his mk5GTI build (one of, if not the lowest static mkv around) and happened to have his custom camber/eccentric caster/YOLO plates up for grabs. We did some eyeballing and decided we could make them fit.

    Dereks MKV at SOWO.

I'm really bad at documenting progress when I'm trying to get shit done, but the car definitely live up to the ruination title now. The install went as follows: Slot tophat holes, bang out strut tower, and cut a 4 1/2" slot out of the strut tower to fit the lower section of the plate, and cut another half coil. We started at 2pm and I pulled in my driveway at 5:57 am, woke up at 8 and went to work.. It was a lot of work and no one but Derek and I will ever really know how much work went into making these fit. But it was SO worth it.
    On to the pictures:

    Cutting:

Shaved parts of the top plate down to fit:

    Upper plate in:

    The slit :

    Assembled/Locktighted/DUN:

First time on the ground (forgot bumpstops ) (want to get back to this height)

The next day right before getting an alignment:

SPECS: (CASTER haha) and stock untouched rear camber arms.

Last night my good friend Nathan and I went and took some pictures and video with his 5DMKII:

    Video HERE

Hope you guys like the wagon, I'm pretty pleased with the way it's coming out so far. Next up is rear camber arms and another coil or so cut. And I need to address the exhaust haha it's literally on the ground.

I honestly don't think I'm going to need to pull at all, Lots of natural camber and big fenders mang.

Did you lose any rigidity on the fender when you cut the lip out?

Just ditched it and used the stock top hat. It's only temporary though. Camber plates and the full e36 coil are going in this weekend.
