    I think your wheel idea is a great one. I don't like the look of large diameter wheels on older mercs either. Sub'd to see where this goes.

    The wheels on the convertible, the Mercedes Bent car are 20", but that's a much bigger car.

    16" should be good for this little coupe

    A few updates.... Yesterday the PDR guys spent most of the day working all over the car, lots of small stuff that would not show well in photos but this large one looks much better ...








    PDR guys hard at it ...








    Some interior panels where removed to gain better access for the PDR work, then they where repaired where coming lose









    Tops rails are also starting to come lose, they will be removed and then reinstalled with 3/16" 120* countersunk rivets

    Rear of car after clay. Badges and handle removed for easier polishing....





    After just 1 cut pass the old paint is looking much better ....

    I'm hoping to get more input on what other guys with W114 / W115 have done with a shocks and springs.

    Any old Benz guys out there want to add to this ?

    wow this thing is a gem, im very excited to see what you do with it!
    i would go for billistein shocks and cut however many coils you want. start with 3 maybe? not sure on these older benzes but i do know they are looooong.
