I've had no issues at all, runs and drives live a dream, but I bought a car that was well maintained.

This is the look so far (Still need refinish the wheel lips, paint the wheel center with body matching paint and mount the hubcap)





I'm planing to mount the hubcaps to the wheels using these clips...

The lighter weight is well worth the added work, most don't realize the benefits of dropping 10 + lbs of unspung weight

Your car is dope and as cool as it is it's only going to get better...


Out of interest, have you considered them at all? I am not sure on fitment but if w211 stuff works it should not be milion miles away..? (pic nicked from another thread on here)?



Would it not be easier to simply swap the centre caps or even the vw logos?

I had considered that style of VW wheel, but its a heavy steel wheel (Like 30lbs) and I like the fact that the Mercedes CLK wheel I'm using only weighs 13lbs, plus these have a bit better off sets.


Cant wait to see what wheels you guys have coming this year !!

Ah this thing is awesome! Good work so far, can't wait to see the rest.

Been slow going over the holidays, I've done a few small things but nothing worth posting, hope to get some time to work on her more soon.
